Yes life was simpler and happy here then. No Muslim terrorists threatening our lives. We will never get those days back. Especially now we have Starmer in power.

I have such fond memories of this series, I still have the Farmhouse Cookbook which I received for my 16th birthday, i still use Mrs Robins Fruitcake and I loved Grace Mulligan…. Happy days from down to Earth no nonsense Women!

I love this thank you! Reminds me of being a small child. I love the present ideas peppermint creams in little boxes. I can see Victoria Wood and Julie Walters in these hostesses.

What a charming way to spend half an hour. I was only a small child but I do remember this series and watching it with me mother and grandmother. Please do upload more episodes if you have them.

Please do you have any more episodes? I've had the cookbook for over 20years and have used it lots! It's lovely to finally see the women behind it. Yes,simpler times ❤️ but families still need feeding on a budget!

Very interesting, but I can't help but think of possible improvements. Maybe they should wear long draping sleeves that fall into their cooking. Oh, and a silent and terrified young assistant moving things around in the background would be very welcome.
