British farmers are taken so much for granted. They deserve our full appreciation for all they do and should be actively encouraged and supported by government.

We must support our farmers, They work hard everyday, plus, its a very dangerous job, its a 24hours 7 days a week...buy British food from our farmers, even go to the farmers markets..

Great story… Now spend as much time on this as you do fomenting discord… Farmers are precious and should be supported as much as our government and community can.

People everywhere should support their local markets and local farmers. There are often Farmers Green Markets focused around farming Seasons anywhere you see sheep or cows.. Usually Spring through Autumn. Look for it in your local area.

We will have a food shortage in Britain eventually there are two solar farms built on farmland in my area already & a planning application for a third solar farm the size of 210 football pitches. This will be happening all over the country.

When asked how life on the farm is, John Dawson’s favorite phrase is “it’s better than working”! Not only does he work 14 hours a day, he and his family are all heavily involved in the community. He, and every farmer in the country, deserve our respect and appreciation.

Did farmers buy UK-built tractors and equipment or opt for the best value from abroad? I'll follow their example when I shop.

Farming has been under attack in the UK for a long time now. Firstly - the EU regulations - which hamper them. Then there's the fact that government want more land for house building. There's also how the supermarkets rip them off.

The irony is due to Brexit we made a trade deal with Aussies and New Zealand who got tons of pastoral land and infact they undercut every British Farmer out there. EU only wanted to put in animal Welfare so we weren’t putting needles suffering through the food we eat. Remember those non EU eggs we got in mayonnaise one year gave people Salmonella. I’ll take regulation Any day so I don’t shit my self thanks

Farmers effectively get bullied and coerced by supermarkets nowadays. I would feel bad for them save for the fact that most of them are staunch tories/British ideologues. If they were more like American farmers I’d stand with them but they, like other British patriots made their own bed so they can lie in it.

Well I’m not worried by supermarkets I’m worried about the Aussie and New Zealand trade deal they undercut ever British farmer out there how are Brits meant to compete with Factory farmed beef tell me how? Or is it Brexit Benefits only foreigners? Or is that why they keep clambering into your country because there no Superbloc of countered to keep them out were alone in the world. This time without empire!

They make it sound like wool is a lucrative market for the farmer it's just about covers the cost of shearing for most farmers.

We all moan about farmers but it's a bloody thankless task, all weathers, every weekend and holiday, prices soaring for grain and food for livestock, unpredictable weather and cut-throat markets like money-grabbing supermarkets. long live the British famers
