Sips the stuff on the ground is called swath, you don't have to keep the trailer under the pipe, the harvester gets full and if you have a worker he/she stops till you empty the swath on the ground you can pick up with a bailer and you can upgrade your stuff when you get the money, when you or the worker is done with the field you cultivate it then sow it. I don't know how to turn the swath off on PC but I do however on Xbox One
