The new feature where the windrower is leaving the crop in rows to be harvested later is called swathing. Essentially swathing is done to make a crop ripen faster than if it were just left standing, sometimes as much as 2 to 3 weeks faster. This was featured on the FS 22 mod map Edgewater, Saskatchewan, and as a stand alone mod that could be added to any other map. Any straw crop such as wheat, barley, and oats, as well as canola and the Edgewater exclusive crop flax could be swathed. I wonder if canola is added to the crops that can be swathed in FS 25.

yea, at 5:30 there is a lot of fog especially when it's almost 7 at night...like to be able to adjust that.

Yeah, most games allow you to adjust settings like fog so you can probably turn it down or turn it off

Very interesting changes they have made. I will Always prefer Farm Sim 2017 since it was my intro to the series but might change if they add right combo of things in game. Just like Horses in earlier versions I think I will ignore the rice farming altogether. Just personal preference. I don't like being forced to add something into your farm or by the side. But always keeping an open mind on the new versions. Thanks Arthur for saving me from watching Giants whole presentation & putting it into terms me can understand.!!!!

Personally, I'm not holding my breath on ground deformation just yet. I mean, I LOVE Snowrunner and one of my dream games since I first played the original Spintires was for Giants to just build Farm Sim inside that engine. However, it doesn't need to be that and a lot of people wouldn't like it. What I, and I think most people who have been asking for ground deformation, really want is for machines that work the land itself (plows, cultivators etc) to actually alter the land instead of just painting a different texture on it. Farmers Dynasty, Cattle and Crops, and the old Agricultural Simulator games have all done this. It's doable. So far, all they've shown is tractors making tire tracks in the dirt. Which is fine, and they very well may have more yet to show. But so far I'm not all that impressed. Graphically, I can't comment until I actually play it. KZbin is notorious for making games look far worse than they actually are. What I will say is that Farm Sim has never been a graphical marvel. I mean jeez, this is the ninth installment in the series and they're just now getting around to fixing rain going through buildings and making the ground look wet. Sure, it has come a long way over the years in terms of textures and level of detail, but it still has the same overall look to it. I don't have the technical knowledge to properly articulate it, but the whole game world has this sort of "plastic" look to it that you don't see in other games. Whatever it is that causes this, it seems to be inherent to the engine because every game in the series has it. But, I digress. To be clear, I'm not complaining. I've been playing since the 2011 version and Giants, whatever else can be said about them, have been very consistent with how they've released these games. I know people get mad when others say "it's the same game every year" but really, they're kind of right. Every game you get some minor graphical improvements, a few new gameplay features, and some new machines. Same thing this time around. We're still a ways out from release so we'll see what else they have to show.

I mean, games like Train Sim World 3 and Star Citizen have show us how much better farm sim "could" look if they changed engines. Sometimes those games look real. For me its a 50/50 - I am less apt to worry about how the game looks if the gameplay is good. FS is a lot of fun and I am happy with FS22, so am excited to see the updated textures.

Thanks for another video buddy and I heard ya lol. I deserve it to be real about it though. We just want it to be that big jump every time they announce it of course.... so we can use our toys right! Our 4k hdr's our new hardware and everything else right and immersion is everything in a sim... I'm not sure what could be more important than immersion. Thanks

I think with the new upgraded textures 4k will make this game pop. I know at least with FS22 the game looked good on my old 1080p monitor, but when I jumped to my ultrawide 4k monitor it actually got WAY better looking. Its probably not noticable on KZbin, but my veiw here in the studio is razer sharp. It looks amazing, so I think with the texture updates its gonna look amazing.

IKR - and honestly its the best looking farm game out there by far. Its not perfect, but I love it. even 22 looks amazing in 4k.

I dunno - elm creek was pretty good. I go to Amish Country at least once a year here in Ohio and Riverbend looks a LOT like that area, especially along the Tuscarawas river.
