I started doing so many wood transport contracts, i ended up buying my own crane truck and log trailer like this just for doing those contracts. Luckily i found the truck used for more then half off. I did learn to always bring the trailer because some of the contracts had too many logs to fit on the truck alone. What i do, is pull truck onside so the crane is directly in the middle on side the log stack. This allows me to easily reach every log with the crane without moving the truck. I then start loading 3 logs at a time in to both the trailer and truck. Ive even managed to grab up to 5 logs at times. I've done it so much, i have it down to near perfection. 😄 I can load the truck in record times now. I'll have to post a video of this, i recorded a few but hadn't uploaded any yet but will. I find using a gamepad is ideal to operate the crane.

@@GulfCoastTim thanks you for your feedback, I love hearing of different methods, I’m always open to new ideas. The crane is definitely a hard skill to master I’m still learning 😆. Try using a gamepad to operate the crane. Once you get used to it, you'll be loading those logs like a pro. It's quite fun.

@@FarmSimDad_AUS I'm referring to just a basic USB Xbox controller. It's what I use on PC.

@ oh I see, I play on PS5, I haven’t tried forestry on PC, I imagine it would be pretty difficult with the keyboard and mouse. I’ve seen some guys using the duel joysticks that looks awesome.
