Honestly I kinda get his logic at prop level, but the very second I transfer to jets it all goes out the window. Hence why I gave up on the f14 grind. The only jets I could fly was the hunter when it just came out lol. Missiles, especially radar ones confuse the shit outa me. Really struggling with the F4e rn

His logic works better on jets because you can tell the speed, energy and climb rate on them usually without even knowing them because the differences are much more negligible between them. However on props, you go "Oh he is slow, lemme stall on top and hammerhead this guy". Then the guy goes helicopter and lol hose you down while you stall 1km above him.

I have 5 KD with my do 335 But i still cannot say this plane great,. Tbh all my kill is stealing and going strike to forbal (not best experience for getting kill) Its still support plane, support plane in Wt mean bad plane, very situasional and not good at all.

335 benefits from MEC in an unexpected way. If your engine is knocked out, the game doesn't automatically feather the propeller. Thus, not only you lose an engine, its prop creates additional parasitic drag! So, to avoid this, you can feather broken engine manually and get slightly better linear speed retention and acceleration. It won't magically make you a Bf-109 but will help to RTB.

Hey Defyn Since it has happened for the third time now, I would like to correct a mistake here. The unit for energy is Joule and not Kilocalories, kilocalorie is used for energy in food. In addition, it offers itself for larger numbers to work with a Si prefix such as 350 000 joules 350 kilo joules.

I know you don't particularly enjoy top tier, but have you noticed the bug with radar tilt on the F-14's tws? It seems to lock the vertical angle of the radar and doesn't let you target enemies

I dont know about F14, but as mig23mf my irst cant lock anything and wing sweep cant be set.. the problem started when summer operation start, that might be it..

That’s not a bug. It’s supposed to do that to keep the target locked in TWS so that you can fly freely while guiding the missile in from ranges too high for its onboard radar.

You need to enable some keybindings for radar tilt control.

@@jordanlee9001 I have my radar tilt axis binded, and can visually the enemy inside the bounds of my radar, when I lock target, the x axis of my lock is correct, but the y axis is completely screwed and locked at a certain altitude

i swear, the retention of the 335 is fantastic, if you don't drop speed at the low point of your dive you can regain most of that altitude, it's fantastic

I'm grinding this event on a wyvern, you just gain a little height, do 3-4 kills head-on and go to the next fight, it turns out pretty quickly

I've been using the SM.92 instead. Decent maneuverability, great guns, good engine power and climb rate. Can't dogfight, but it can usually dodge and run away, and obliterate in a head-on.

Been flying the Italian 2.0 Stuka for the rank 2 base bombing battle task, just for the quick in-and-out. I've flown it 4 times in the past two weeks, and two of those games were 5 kill games... using the turret only. If you get a slow day, it would be cool to see you get a (normal for Defyn) 9 kill game :^P.

It does have the ability to consistently break 900kmh in a dive, making it capable of chasing anything down or outrunning anything, and the air-spawn helps it in early game. side note- if you for whatever reason enjoy killing bombers all day, it can climb straight to them, and has 2 engines and an EFS so you can kill bombers without much fear, and have plenty of firepower to one burst them.

One of my fave grinders in game, one of last planes purchased but already almost most used plane in game (guns are AMAZING and air spawn wins, one of best Interceptors in game). Bear in mind 5,600 hours in game so that is saying something. Had a similar situation of "cheat" when I had 3 US attackers all try and head me on in Tunisia after I had popped all the AI air.. I said "dont head me on then"

I use 335 as a ground attacker in tanks RB. Its payload is great and its canons are superb. Unfortunately, you're also an incredibly large target (335 is HUGE), that turns badly, hates to pull out, bleeds out speed fast, and accelerates slowly. Good player is needed to make the best outa this bird.

@@DeeKeyLP or simply have a shitty subsonic aircraft with no countermeasures and take an L when trying to kill an A10 at top speed. You needa cope with subsonic high speed compression, A10 will probably Dodge you. It's like killing a prop that has top tier armament. it dodges you, it out turns you, it out guns you and won't get hit by missiles because it's too low for sparrows and got too many flares to take IR missiles. Except some french and us Jets, most stuff need to slow down to aim at such slow and nimble targets. You miss? You get bred by an aim9L or a good avenger barrage. not saying that a10s are untouchable, but if your top speed is 1200, an A10 flying at 500kmh actually moving faster from your position, than a supersonic going 1350 except when it's a head on. And then there's the MiG19 that just doesn't care.

Defyn is basically spookston but plays air rb. Both literally says "Vehicle A is bad, trash" and proceeds to beat the crap out of the enemy using the same "trash" vehicle

This plane seem to have the same syndrome as the AD-4 skyraider, if you face a fighter that knows what they are doing, you are most likely screwed, but for some reason most players just... as you say go full send into the dogfight, throwing away their advantages. Which is why i love taking out my Skyraider both as a ground pounder but also as a heavy fighter.

Oh god I hate this plane. Buuut: could you maybe fly a clipped wing Spit? Like Prendergast's? It's the only clipped Griffon in the game afaik and behaves kinda unique. Like a Tempest/Spit mutant. I semi-suck with it and it would be really interesting to see how it's handled correctly.
