We recently had to remove the dual and put new wedges on the inside hub of a 4850 during fall tillage. What a job but luckily the axle wasn't damaged when the wedge key broke and everything spun on the axle giving it a nice polished look.

Thanks again Andy. Shorter larger diameter air hoses can add new life to old tired impact tools. (Same as air horns) Sometimes a guy can cheat with 25-50 feet of very large ID air hose right at the tool end. That can act as a kind of buffer before tool is starved for pressure from small hose. One small quick coupler fitting can ruin the whole party. New flexible hose works better than old stiff hose. Dangerous toys are fun! 🙂

A lot of people have tag lines. You're is "HERE". Put it on a black ball cap and I'll buy it. Just " HERE" , that's all. People that get it will get it! I get it with Jerrod's frustration. Sometimes you need to pull it out and set it aside for a while and cool off if you can. Move on to something else. You can then clearly think about it later and make it a winter project or get rid of it. Jerrod deserves a new truck and less headaches anyway. Nate's a good man to have working for you.

@ 10:57 That looks like a 3/8 I D air hose. I believe you need a larger diameter hose to deliver enough CFM to get max performance from that big impact wrench, especially with a hose that long. Just a suggestion .............. trying to be helpful. Might check with the manufacturer to see what size hose they suggest. Does your compressor deliver enough CFM ???

My grain corn is running 16-28%. This time of year it should be 15% and all harvested. Have not had a frost yet. Cut soybeans today that were 13% but green stem. Those sucked to do, slow speed and 9500 did not like the green part going through. Good yields though. And we got mud in places there is never mud.

Anytime you run trucks off road it is 10x harder on them than on the road. The amount of hours Jared puts in would kill the cry babies saying he’s hard on equipment. He kind of reminds me of myself when I was his age. But it wasn’t a family farm. I worked for a farmer. He had as much stuff break on him as I did. He always claimed we must be doing more work than everyone else.

You haven’t taught them it’s easier on their backs and shoulders to stand on the breaker bar then to yank on it all day? And then if they fall it’s down not backwards with extra force? At least that’s how we did it back on the farm oh so many many moons ago. To many moons to count but many years as well lol. I have seen dad and the hired hand both on the breaker bar trying to bust the bolts loose on the duals lol. Luckily they had a darn good 1” drive breaker bar because if that thing had snapped it would have been bad for me. Probably would have passed out from laughing so hard for one and then a trip in the ambulance after dad kicked my dairy air up to my neck for laughing. Bear in mind I wouldn’t have laughed if there was any injuries involved. But at a young age seeing two grown men fall into a pile together would have been hilarious
@blackheart3051811 ай бұрын
But it’s always better to fall straight down where you have a chance of landing on your feet the falling backwards while yanking on a breaker bar. You rocket backwards and chances are a lot of pain will be the end result. Or at least that’s been my life experience with that experience. Slightly twisted my ankle from the slip off while standing or bouncing on a breaker bar but backwards sucks and hurts and sometimes there is even bleeding. 🩸
