When I started working on trucks we removed U-joints with a bottle jack and a big hammer. The first time I tried one of those Tiger Tool U-joint removers I thought there was no way it could work. Boy was I wrong!

Great video thanks. Not sure what you guys mostly use for penetrating oil but I’ve been using this stuff called Aerokroil. It’s a little expensive, not what you want to use on everything, but really works well on stuff like you’ve been working on in the last few videos. Napa or similar parts store carries it. Also online of course.

Hey Andy love the videos just a side note we run Chelsea engine driven PTOs with the driveshaft off engine damper on our plow trucks. We never have issues every 2-3 years we have to rebuild pto but nothing major usually just bearings and really its just for peace of mind more so. May be a better option than eating up transmissions.

Completely addicted to the videos Andy. The investment you have made in that workshop must be staggering (not to mention the seemingly continuous stream of spare parts you need to buy for all the equipment). I have just changed the bearings in the gearbox of my motorcycle so I am now even more closely watching what you do. That was "but a tiddler" compared to what you do though!! God bless

Andy, Love your videos Saw you are using Timken bearings in your pto rebuild. I work at a Timken bearing plant in Bucyrus Ohio, thanks for your support! I work in the heat treat department and I’d like to recommend Aero-Kroil penetrating oil to you. That is the best penetrating oil I have ever heard of or used. We used that stuff to free up seized parts on our furnaces. I think you’d find it helpful in your shop. Kudos to you and your crew! Keep the good videos coming Hope you do a full rebuild and repaint on one of those 4620’s! Great tractors!

The right tool for the job always helps. We would pack those caps full of grease, removing the grease zerk. As we reinstalled, what extra grease would just fill all the passages within those U joints. I take it that you don't have the tiger tool reinstall or is the same tool that removes able to reinstall them? Never used that tool, always did it the hard way, vice, hammer and right sized old socket. Great video, cheers :)

Hey Andy I really admire all that you tackle in your shop; I learn a lot watching your videos and get inspired to tackle more on my farm. With the expense of outsourcing labor today, we almost have to learn and do ourselves. I hope you don’t mind me asking you a technical question...I’ve got a 9550 combine I bought out west this summer and it never came with a block heater from factory, & I’d like to add one. I’m having a bugger of a time getting the large brass bolt/plug out of the block where I’m supposed to install the block heater...any advice?
