The grass idea was pretty good john. I keep a sponge with a geene on one side stuck in the end of one of my chicken tractors.

Why not build into the chicken tractor the electric wire system , on and off at the door? Will reduce your work load for the mornings move except grounding pipe. Easy Peesy.. 😜

I’ve seen Sow the Land build a modified John Suscovich tractor for layers. Can one keep layers in the field over summer/early fall and in a barn coop for the cold weather?
