Intermittent issue traced to what was initially assumed. Poor solder connection. The wire wrapped stake that provides ground for one of the thermistors, was finally found to be the culprit. This caused a host of troubleshooting challenges. The poor connection was also getting disturbed constantly, while trying to take voltage measurements, only compounded the troubleshooting challenge. It's finally off the bench, with the over-troubleshooting kept to a minimum. Not a single component required replacing. Insight was gained by borrowing from a similar model in the series, the A502. A schematic of the A202 has not been found. If nothing else, is learned, electronics should not be placed anywhere near a heat source, or pay the price down the road. It does mention this in most instructions.
