Thank you very much Daniel for the BIO SECURITY ACTION taken, yes is true every business needs to grow and especially with the big number of birds you need in your farm 🚜 . I like the decision you took. ONE MORE ADVICE TO YOU, PLEASE DON'T LET THE GUYS WORKING WITH THE BROILERS TO GO WORK WITH OTHER BIRDS OTHER THAN THE BROILERS. EACH FLOOCK TO HAVE IT'S OWN WORKERS. That is for the same reason you are selling your local BIRDS 🐦. 🇿🇦

Don't slash the area around your dams. The vegetation is stopping evaporation, it stops the wall of the dams cracking, it's stabilizing the soil. Just make the fenced area much bigger. The thorny plants are nitrogen fixers. They are very important for soil health. They also provide protected habitat for birds. You need many more water plants such as bullrushes, duck weed, lotus.... Are you sure about free range rabbits? Males fight like crazy, and one bite gets very infected. I've even got a scar on my hand from trying to separate two males and one bit me by accident. It didn't let go until I was completely still. Free range, the males need very big areas so there is peace. Just look at Australia. You need lots of predictors to keep rabbits in check. They can dig more than you can believe. It's much easier to keep the females in your luxury chicken houses and the males in separate cages. I had to give away 300 kits and cull around 200 rabbits before returning to Australia because of violence in Mexico. We also had to sacrifice the cats, dogs, chickens, Guinea pigs....It was heartbreaking.

woow that is a good advice not only for the Dr. but for all of as who are interested in the rabbits farm.
@FarmUp
@FarmUp 3 жыл бұрын
Oh, nice. Well, at least we have the predators, us the humans..we'll certainly keep the population in check. The biggest risk is their health of course. But I've seen a few people in the neighbourhood do it so it's worth gambling a little. If it fails, we move onto the next one, but it's worth trying. The space is a bit big...luxurious 😅
@annburge291
@annburge291 3 жыл бұрын
@@ahmedinhassan8237 If you are interested in rabbits, check out Joel Salatin. If you are into caged rabbits because of convenience and physical health of rabbits (not necessarily psychological rabbit health) consider a barn like structure where the roof (or catwalks) have a truss like structure so that the rabbit cages can hung without cage legs. The floor is ideally concrete or compacted clay covered with dirt, woodchIps, hay. This makes it much easier to clean the floor. At one end of the barn have young females with a play areas of artificial caves, tunnels, disposable hay bales, chewing branches. At the other end have very young males. Learn how to identify females from males when they are young and keep the numbers down incase you make a mistake. Have the breading age rabbits in individual cages in the centre aisle of the barn. Each cage holds one adult and their kits (1.5m x 1m minimum). When breeding, introduce the male to the female for the time it takes you to feed all the rabbits, then remove him. Under the rabbit cages, you can have some chickens that will eat the rabbit droppings as part of their diet. I found it more convenient to feed alfalfa, oat hay, grass hay and other greens such as amaranth, carrot tops... rather than pellets because the urine didn't stink, they had less fat build up around internal organs, it was more economical and there was less wastage from rabbits scratching in the food containers. Good luck with your project.
@annburge291
@annburge291 3 жыл бұрын
Very young mother does have very few kits in their first litter. You can even up the litters by rubbing the introduced kits in the fur of the adopting mother before placing in the nest. When placing new young rabbits with the other young rabbits, rub their fur with the floor deep litter so that they smell correctly as part of the warren.

Hey bro, some tips, hatch eggs than are not older than 10 days, make sure the brooder flock are alphas (healthy with no history of illnesses) in ratio of 1 to 7, rooster to hen, store eggs with the bigger side facing up not to weaken the air sac. Finally invest in an incubator that as atleast 98% hatch rate, Daktari can verify, this works like a gem.
