Good to see you innovating - finding solutions to presenting problems. No mention of prayers, miracles or muti. Simple hedges of local tree species. Finding food for your poultry is simple good animal husbandry. Basic knowledge, plus simple desire to do better and be kind to our planet. Explore endless energy from the sun, too. Innovate for yourself with that as well. Wishing you success at every step to model simpe common sense, and effort, to our folks. One love.

Very good job. You are inspiring us to get down and farm. With all this food around, do you have a lot of pests like mice/rats ? I note that the bird food attracts many pests and how do you deal with that ? I haven't seen many cats around :)

Have you ever thought about feeding them fermented feed??? I do this and save money on buying feed, plus, the fermented feed is more nutritious for them than feeding it to them dry. Once fermented, they get the benefit of getting extra vitamins and probiotics in the feed. It's worth looking into. Also, do you feed them Black Soldier Fly larvae??? I think I saw you do a video on that a while back. Thanks for sharing.
@alexkabeho56092 жыл бұрын
Hello , at what age do you start giving them fermented feed bro
@ImASurvivorNThriver2 жыл бұрын
@@alexkabeho5609 Hey there! I'm a sis. :-) Anyway, the short answer is: I don't know. I'm only a month into learning about the benefits of fermented feed, and my chickens are all over 6 months old. I've been feeding it to them for this past month, and it's working out GREAT for me!!! I don't see why the younger ones wouldn't benefit from it as well. This is just my opinion. I hope this helps you. :-)
@mensahaddo57752 жыл бұрын
@@ImASurvivorNThriver Hello I am just curious are your birds raised the same way doc raised his free range birds and if you do how are their weight I would be grateful if you can provide me this information because I want to raise cocks the same way but I need them to gain weight about 4.5 or more within 9months and that's why I asked about the weight of your birds which you say are about 6 months , thank you
@ImASurvivorNThriver2 жыл бұрын
@@mensahaddo5775 No. I live in the suburbs, so, I raise my chickens in a coop. We're really not allowed to have them where I live, so, I must keep them contained. I let them out sometimes to eat the grass and to hunt for worms, but, I watch them and lock them back up into their coop when they go back inside to roost in the evening time.
