The best part I've loved about this new project is the camera to monitor especially the sturbon workers. Even if it doesn't work lol, the fact that the workers see it hang above them will enforce them to work to their full ability.😁

Congrats your place is the perfect brooding spot because it has walls....everything is perfectly set up and you guys are working together well. We got a little over 3600 layers growing now and it’s a big investment with setting up the farm, feeding and médecine. Good luck guys and keep us posted. Small detail; while growing, the birds may start flying over the drinkers hanging up and defecate in them so u might have to wash them again.....just take them out for now.
@FarmUp3 жыл бұрын

Exciting times. I place clean pebbles in the drinkers for the first four days so the young chicks can't drown or get overly wet. I clean the pebbles with vinegar, then water rinse and dried in the sun once a day. I have two lots of pebbles, one in the drinkers and the rest waiting for the next day. All drinkers are on wooden boxes, 50 x50 x10 cm so they don't get filled with sawdust scratchings. It's easier using thin chains and hooks for the hanging drinkers because the height is more easily adjusted. Your charcoal heaters look more sophisticated this time.

Have you thought of putting up much cheaper poly tunnel houses and cover them with plastic. I have also seen farmers in the US putting Shade Netting over the poly tunnels in hot weather. It is also very easy to keep them clean and disinfected.
