Six farmworkers say they were fired after leaving a Yolo County job on a hot summer day.
The California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA) is now investigating a complaint filed against Ruiz Farm Labor back in June and the United Farm Workers union is standing behind them.

Shame on this company. Regardless if they are legal or not, they do the hard job no one is willing to do. So we can have produce(food) on our plate. They should be treated with dignity and respect just like any other employee. Under God eyes we are all human and we need more compassion among each other.

If you do not value your employees and think they are expendable, then you are not worthy of their time and valiant efforts. Take care of your employees and they will take care of you. 1 day extremely impacts tomatoes. If they're in the heat for too long I would have fired them too. There's ways to cool down and obviously they weren't doing it
