Ive seen cannibalism in rats many times whilst shooting them. Most people find it unbelievable when I tell them.

A few months back mate I got a new farm and there was literally hundreds on there the first night I went up spent two hours shooting them shot over 300 and by the time I started to go pick them up about 15 or so had been half eaten especially there brains it was like a surgeon had taken the skull of in a theatre it was the precise

5:02 - roto-rooter rat - spinning it's way to the nearest trash bin! There were some tough customers there, Jeff. A number of them did not drop dead with a single shot as frequently happens. Just the way it happens sometimes. You certainly provided us with some quality marksmanship tonight... and quite a target-rich location! Jeff: There is a big article about a national rat population explosion in the Daily Telegraph. I left a comment suggesting people visit your KZbin account to see the pro in action. Hopefully it might get some new subscribers for you. We find sticky pads are quite good for grain stores. I can’t believe how untidy most of your client farms are which gives rats a good habitat. There is also far too much easy food available for the rats. All the best from Herts / Essex farmer.

Very satisfying that Jeff 👍, those cannibal rats are disgusting. Sorry if this is a stupid question but do you 'hold over' at closer distances than your scope zero point because your pellet is climbing from a lower point than your scope to the zero point? When would you 'hold under' because surely when the pellet starts to drop after your zero point, you'd need to hold over again? Hope that makes sense?

My scope is zeroed at 20/ yards mate so if I am shooting close I’ll hold over a little and then the odd long shot I give it a bit more as the .22 pellets drop quickly

I was going to ask the same thing. Sometimes it appears your point of aim is the top of the lower vertical line for the closer shots. Almost always /kerpow/, rat rolls over. Instant dirt nap

That’s funny because I went and picked everyone up that I shot so obviously I didn’t miss it might look like I have missed them if they run off it’s because the pellet travels straight through them that fast they don’t realise they have been shot until it’s to late

Yup those are some nasty ass Rats!!! Dragging their dead off to eat them! That's just one of many reasons I call them "Nasty Ass Rats"! And on top of that they are tough as nails as many times as you hit them and they run off to die out of sight, it's just they ran off after being hit by a very Powerful weapon and to top that off is a great Marksman that nailed their nasty asses!!! Of course it was a great session as they all are a very much looking for the next wonderful session!
