Here's a compilation of some highlights from a couple of sessions filming at Farnborough airport on the 22nd and 29th January 2024. The 22nd was a wild windy day. Just the day before, we'd had another named storm passing over the UK and the winds hadn't completely disappeared by any means. We also have material from the 29th January:
0:01 29th January - starting with Bombardier Global 6000 N150QS seen taxiing and departing to Charlotte.
2.31 landing Gulfstream G-ULFT arriving from London Luton.
3:50 Not showing on Flight Radar, Gulfstream G650 T7-818 is seen on 22nd January heading for White Plains- winds 240 degrees, 21 knots gusting to 32 knots- crew report Wind Shear after departure;
4:20 Net Jets Cessna Citation 680 CS-LTL is blown about on rotation, heading for Paris Le Bourget - watch the wings dip on climb out!
7:35 Not showing on Flight Radar, Turkish Embraer 650 TC-KAM departs in a heavy downpour to Istanbul;
9:18 29th Jan - Air X Charter Mitsubishi CRJ 200 9H-JOY taxis and departs for Karlsruhe as flight callsign Legend 784X. Just as takeoff is given, someone presumably newly learning the skills of communicating with the Tower contacts Tower requesting permission to cross one of the taxiways - we don't hear their side of the Comms; only the response by Tower controller - who gets more and more terse and irritable with the caller as the conversation continues.
Never a dull moment planespotting here 😱😱
