OCTO VW BUS SHOW 2023 Feb Split window Busses campers and barn doors

This is a one of 3 meets per year at OCTO. Many of the split window bus owners meet up at Veterans Stadium in Long Beach to show off your busses and talk tech. Also Swap parts for all makes and model vws. Really fun event to share your comradery with other VW owners.

Sad because there are so call VW shops or business's that will remove original stuff off people Buses like an original rear end reduction gears off a 1963 panel they are located in Stockton Ca. Beware ! Great video !Thank you .

Really dig the wild mirrors on the older rigs. I think its amazing that so many old buses can still be found. Thanks for covering all the events Mike. We really enjoy them.

Without sounding like a moron, it kind of irritates me when I see paint wet sanded poorly to add aging. I get an original condition bus. But Fake original leaves me wondering. Thanks Mike, you're the go to guy on VDUBS!!...

Yea I like the REAL patina preserved original paint. Sometimes touchups are ok and blended to match but just ratted out and calling it patina. just does not work for me either.

Y 19726 is from my home county in the middel of Sweden. Wondering how it ended up there? 🤔 It is the Swedish military that bought it. Then it probably ended up on someones farm until it was "discoverd" ✊

What was the average price of those for sale?

I didnt ask for any of the prices and nothing was posted. Most busses that run and drive are at least 20k. As long as they are not so rusty that they should not be driving.
