Today I tried to get some stuff cleaned up around the property but I’m still to sick to be doing anything. Then one of my neighbors animals showed up and got Into a fight with my animals.

Dutch, get tested for RSV, it has been causing a lot of issues in the schools up here for some reason this year. I do not remember ever hearing about it affecting the elementary, middle and high schools around here before, only heard about the daycares being affected the most. Can cause issues in some adults also. Otherwise you know the other test that should be done from your symptoms. Hope you guys start feeling better sooner than later.

oh as to that rooster, didn't you guys have like 4 black chicks in that pre-fab chicken coop that got tossed during that big storm earlier this year? Did you ever find all the chicks that were in it, I only ever saw the two that ended up roosters that were in the feeder pig pen? Wondering it that could have been one of the ones that went missing during that storm and survived?

Chad from Adler Farms dealt with this same situation. The neighbor's dog attacked one of his alpacas. The alpaca had quite an injury. He had a talk with his neighbor about their dogs coming on his property. They did nothing about it...next time they came to attack, Chad defended his livestock. There's several nasty bugs going around here too! They're putting out warnings that influenza A & B, strep throat, and RSV. Several schools have closed here because of staff shortages and half of the schools children have been out sick. Hopefully everyone gets to feeling better soon! Yes I had an issue a few years back with a neighbors big, very mean dog, after telling them 2 times to keep their dog in their yard, as we do have a leash law here, I called the police & dog catcher. The neighbor got several citations & the dc took the dog & the neighbor wasn't allowed to have the dog back. About 6 months later that neighbor moved

Your livestock depends on you to keep them safe they are defenceless against predators it's a ranchers responsibility to protect and if a dog hits you once I can guarantee it will hit you again. Twice I had to ask neighbors to keep their dogs home and both times, after 3 warnings, I put their dogs down. Five rabbits and three chickens were too much to overlook. Made me sick but feeding my children comes first.

You are legally able to protect your livestock. Start with 1 phone call to the neighbors. That’s all the warning you get. It’s not restricted to just cattle. Get well all. Prayers.

Having good communication with your neighbors can be a plus. They may not know their rooster is coming over. In the meantime take care of yourself and the family. Lots of fluids, vitamin C and don't push it too hard. The flu's are going around this time if year. 💖🙏💖

We had this flu stuff a few weeks ago in our area. Half the kids were out at the schools. It went through our house and it was fever and congestion for over a week. It was pretty bad. We are much better now. Hope you feel better soon. Hopefully the rest of your family stays well.

If your neighbor's dog keeps killing your animals and the neighbor refuses to keep the dog tied up, call the police to let them know what is going on and if you need to, put the dog down. If the neighbor is warned then if you put down their dog it's on the neighbor.

My mother is 93 now, but from 2012 and back, she took care of the problem and never acknowledged she new anything. They had a dog , chickens, cattle, pigs and grandkids in the yard. Lived in the country. Her adage was. If you don't respect your neighbors after she contacted one time, she took care of the problems from then forward with one shot, end of problem. Questions ask, know nothing.

I hope you feel better and enjoy your Thanksgiving with your family. Enjoyed the chicken squabble :-) and seeing Gabby and Gracie. Where I live we are required to keep our dogs leashed in this populated somewhat urban environment while in public unless in a dog park which I mostly avoided. If not its a $75 fine if you are caught. In your country setting this is harder because you want to allow your animals to safely roam freely without danger. If you can prove that a neighbor's pet injured your pet I suppose you could ask them to pay the vet bill or take them to court. If it is a repeated nuisance do you have any animal control enforcement that can help you? Other than that , get a bigger dog than your neighbors, lol. I had to be careful with my German Shepherd because although she was friendly she was trained in protection so I felt safe with her but was glad she never had too protect me or my family. Her bark was intimidating enough to keep the bad guys away and I trusted her judgement, and was glad she was never challenged where she could inflict injury on a person or another animal. I had one incident in which I was threatened by a man who claimed that I was walking my dog on a horse trail on public land even though it was not marked as such and that if his wife who was riding to this destination rode by and her horse knocked her off the saddle in fear of my dog it would be my fault. The guy was a nut job.

Hope that you feel better. Sorry to say, it's not the flu. There is a really nasty virus going around. My daughter and I had it for 2 weeks. My daughter's temperature reached 102.6 and mine reached 103.4. Night sweats, back and body aches, vomiting, headaches, etc. We were tested for the flu and covid and thankfully we both came back negative to both. Hopefully you and Hope didn't get the cough that goes with it. The cough is still lingering in our house and it's been almost 5 weeks. Get better soon. Absolutely love your channel and your content. You still need to warn him. You don't want hard feelings with your neighbor. By warning him, it's his responsibility if he doesn't take care of his animals. Your being neighborly by warning him. How much is your friendship worth over his animals coming on your property. Would you want to be told if the shoe was on the other foot. Do the right neighborly thing. I definitely would call the neighbor just to give him a heads-up. You don't want his rooster getting torn up if you can prevent it. That said, my daughter is dealing with PTSD from a neighbor's dog coming in our yard and stealing 2 chickens on 2 different days. A hunting dog left to roam free during the day out here in the country. He saw our free-rangers and decided to pick-up dinner on his way home. If I had had a "fire-stick" handy, I most certainly would have taken him out. Here we are 4 years later and my daughter is terrified to leave the house if the chickens are outside - in pens, mind you, because there is no more free-ranging here. She literally gets panick attacks, sweats, full-on PTSD diagnosed by a shrink. I even had to delay getting broiler chickens because we're not sure she can handle the trauma, and she wasn't going to be near them. Anyway, take care of yourself, Dutch. Get well, soon. My daughter had a couple of dogs to get in the pasture and cut up one of the horses, she called the sheriff's office and SPCA and reported it so there would be a record of it, they came out and checked the damage and told her she had every right to 🔫 them if they came back.

RSV virus and the flu are both going around. I just got over RSV and it was on FOX news that RSV is the highest it’s ever been and my dr. said the same and so did my granddaughter’s pediatrician. Hope you’re all well soon!!! And yes, I think you should call your neighbor. Perhaps his rooster ran off or got chased off and got lost. 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
