Maybe add signs of no trespassing or hunting on property. Or signs stating "Trail Cams On Property". Put up a couple. Maybe it will deter the sneaky neighbor from even trying to hunt your property. Plus you can also keep an eye out for wild pigs. Good Luck!! 👍. Watched a few of your videos before, but just now joined. 😁👍.

Buddy of mine had someone poaching on his land. He took down the stand and put it in his garage and reported to the game commission. A week later, a new stand. It came down and went in the garage. This happened three or four times. End of hunting season came and my buddy advertised a garage sale with "hunting equipment" on the signs. Only one person showed up early wanting to buy it all. License plate turned over to the authorities. Poacher was later arrested. Only one thing worse than a poacher is a thief. Past two nights we've had an issue with one breaking into vehicles here. If the thief is smart, he won't come back a third time. Covert ops are commencing....🤫

Dutch, glad for that neighbor warning you. Do further investigation on that guy, I don't like thief's either. But if he isn't working or has a large family to feed then I would give him a stern voice and chase off, telling him a true neighbor would contact the owner to get permission.

If someone wants to hunt on private property ask. Don’t trespass. Ask first always and if they say no move on. Don’t be sneaky. Go to their house and ask. Get a permission form that you both sign. Be respectful. Follow the laws. If you get permission ask if there’s anything you can do to help improve or maintain their land. Send them a gift. Trespassing can bring consequences. Loss of hunting license and lack of trust from your neighbors. Thanks for sharing. Take care, see ya :)

I live in PA and I have a neighbor that she admits to it she likes to walk around at night through everybody's yards. Some of our properties have one quarter of an acre to 40 acres. I caught her six times. Twice one property next to me and twice on the property behind me and never saw her but she was on my property twice. Once coming on my back porch. I called the name of my outside kitty but then things got quiet and she moved the plastic back in place. By the time I got up she was gone. We can't stand what she does. Then if she needs something she'll come to whoever has it and ask to borrow it. It takes all kinds to make a world but why can't they make it on their property?

Trail or security camera evidence and have her cited/arrested by the local sheriff. Sue her if she commits any property damage, including pushing down your fencing. Of course, you _must_ mark and post your property line.

Dutch, I'm with you. I was always taught to respect everyone, unless some person gives you a reason to NOT respect that person. I also do despise the actions of anyone who thinks he/she is "entitled" to trespass or hunt on someone else's property. That is a despicable attitude, for which I have absolutely no tolerance! I do know that 2-3 years ago, there was a criminal who was seeking to avoid an arrest warrant camped out on the home site next to us. Now, our area is pretty heavily wooded, and this criminal was camping out maybe 150 to 175 feet from our house. A few years ago, I received two different death threats from different telemarketers. IN particular, one guy was demanding personal information over the phone, and I refused to answer any questions. So this jerk said, "I guess that means I'll have to come to your house to get the information." I told him that he'd better not come to my house, to which he replied: "What are you going to do if I come to your house?" I told him that one of two things would happen: (1) there would be a deputy sheriff waiting to arrest him if he trespassed on my property, or (2) if he broke through my door, that he would be very well ventilated! I would never set out to hurt someone or worse, but I will defend my family, my home and myself. I did make a report on both incidents (which occurred about two hours apart), and I was advised by law enforcement that I had the right and yes, the responsibility to defend myself. I pray that I'm never required to take action, but I'm bound to defend my family, my home and myself. May God continue to bless you and yours always!

So we said you do us wrong once shame on you You do us wrong Twice Shame on Me. Put Percy in something like one of those baby suspenders, like where the child can walk around but their full weight is not on their feet, and they can't fall over. You can put a few wide straps under him, a cable across, a poll on each end angled outward, a come along winch on one end, and a pully for the cable, or swivel pully block, or with an extra heavy duty bearing swivel - so he can walk back and forth. 🙂 Oh, and to add an edit, you can put a spreader bar across the top to keep the straps wider/from squeezing.

I have lived in townhome communities the last quarter century and I remember a young man was parking in my spot when he was dating his girlfiend(my neighbors daughter). He finally got it through his thick skull that he was not to park in out parking spaces.

One of the fastest ways to compact the ground in your pond is using cattle. They will naturally do what a drag behind sheep's foot does. Just put a few in inside a temporary fence with a round bale there for a couple months. Some ponds don't seal if they have a leak. The leak just enlarges. That typically depends on the clay content. Mixing in Bentonite when you're building the pond helps give everything a Kickstart. Straw helps clarify the water by absorbing the solids. I am Licensed in Missouri for pond construction and Wastewater Disposal Systems. I don't allow trespassing or hunting on my two sections in the Ozarks either. About every third or fourth fence T post is painted purple. That includes the cross fencing. Most trees around the perimeter also have either the purple paint or the purple no trespassing hunting ribbons. Of course everyone knows you don't trust pass on purple. But like you there are areas I don't get too. Even one area I have very rarely been in 40 years. Beginning of this hunting season I noticed a bunch of crows. When I reach the site I found where someone had field dressed a deer. Kind of shrugged It Off thinking someone had a poor shot and tracked it down without saying anything. But when I went back out there to put some lime on it I noticed another one close by they had done the same. I had thought I heard shots the evening before. Wish I would have sent the Drone up to take a look. I found that $100 drone quite useful for checking on things. A Big Time Saver. I kick myself for not using it when it was really necessary. Anyway I tracked where they went in and out. Now have signs saying trail cams in use. I'm pretty sure one that they poached was the large non-typical ( this year) Buck I have been feeding a few years.😡
@jeepssnow950623 күн бұрын
I remember when you got that property and we’re concerned about needing to add trespassing signs, discussed purple paint & purple ribbon to mark property line trees, etc. Sounds like that never happened? Or did you do it & it was ignored, too? “A Little prevention is worth a pound of cure. That way poachers have no excuse if property is clearly marked on all boundaries. If they ignore that, that’s when you put the full force of the law on them, no waffling! Something like this
@ernesthallett800324 күн бұрын
