It shouldn’t be a question - smith is not only deserving of a run but he’s also the answer to this poor attacking play. Nick evans must be feeling like he has one arm tied behind his back knowing smith is on the bench until the last 3 seconds.

Smith is good at carving up defences....of premiership sides. How are we so arrogant that we think premiership sides are anywhere near international sides. Wales was a real dog fight. Nowhere near Smith's style. And when Smith finds himself trying to adapt to another style, he struggles. And for Farrell's kicking, it's pretty obvious Borthwick is foregoing the kicking in favour of developing the England team because he's trying to put together a world cup side in 9 months. So yes, his kicking is down. Considering his past record, why are we having such a go at him for it considering Smith's kicking in international games has been really poor. I don't see people having a go at Smith for it.

Smith has done nothing to justify this hype. He has run down blind alleys and doesn’t have any defensive attributes whatsoever. He needs to go away and mature and come back the player everyone is hyping him up to be. It’s Farrell and Ford for now, and, yes, Farrells kicking has to improve!

I would absolutely agree that under the Eddie-era, Marcus Smith played almost like he had a ball and chain around his ankle. However, one thing I've noticed under Borthwick, is that Smith is being given a bit more freedom to use his flair. What I hope will happen in the coming months, is Borthwick will develop the back line to be able to utilise and play off that

farrell is only in as he's captain, he seems to be allowed to perform at a lower level than the rest of the team - hes poor in atatck, good defense, poor kicking. No way he would be in the team if he were not captain on this 6 nations form.

These two really annoy me! If they had concentrated on their rugby in the 2011 World Cup in NZ, and not just being in Tindalls extended stag trip, then Johnson wouldn’t have dropped them for the QF and we might have had a better chance against France. Too busy being lads!!
