Thanks for the chance to listen to these real music pearls composed by Louise Farrenc, a woman in the world and time when men ruled.

certain composers get pushed over and over :( give others a chance

I was just listening to the music... however, if you are desperate to make it ideological... men did not rule, 99% of men in the 19th century were leading subsistence lives... a small elite ruled for their own economic benefit, just as they do now, and I would guess Louise Farrenc was part of that privileged small elite, while the majority of men and women of the working classes were enslaved in the factories barely earning enough money. People digging in the coal mines or working in the sweatshop Victorian factories didn't have time for chamber music. It's typically "woke" to ignore class and focus on gender. People lived as a family unit and did what was needed for the collective good.... It should not matter to you whatsoever if this composer was female... and I very much doubt she remotely shared your 2024 values.

Louise Farrenc is indeed a great composer at a time when France (with the notorious exception of Berlioz) was fond of opéra comique, Grand opéra by Meyerbeer, or further opérettes with Offenbach. She is poorly known, and KZbin is an excellent tool to have her better known. She kept a very thin of continuity in the best French music production, and mainly chamber music.

Simple informal tone flows straight down to our nerves and then to our hearts superbly melodious

Since Robert Schumann wrote: ‘So sure in outline, so logical in development … that one must fall under their charm, especially since a subtle aroma of romanticism hovers over them.’, I find no basis upon which to dispute his assertions. This is truly beautiful music, for which we have ample cause to regard ourselves as blest to have the opportunity to enjoy, and to fall under its charm.
