Hug your mom a little extra. I love your family. I lost my mom in 2016 and my husband retired in 2021 and we moved in as dad is now 80. We are actually taking him on a cruise to Alaska. Enjoy your family. God Bless.

I loved your videos from Barrow in the past. Its changed little since I was stationed in Ft. Wainwright back in the late 80s. The Internet is a game changer and really helps relatively small cities like Barrow. Summer is almost over. Enjoy it while its here. Fall and Winter is right around the corner!

On your next launch, you should have coffee tumblers that have your logo on them, since you’re a coffee lover. Also, what about a few that have some local coffee huts logos on them. Then the rest of us could have a little piece of North Pole each time we make a coffee. Love you guys.

I use to live in Alaska a looong time ago. Before your birth. I have tried a number of times to get a job up there, so I could go up there for temporary work or a permanent job. No I'm 70. I'm not going to move up there but I sure would love to go on vacation. I've been to Barrows a number of time only in the summer. I've been to the North Pole, Delta junction, Palmer, and Fairbanks, along with a lot of other Northern cities. I lived in Anchorage and in the summer time we traveled all over the state and the Yukon. Our family had friends that homestead up above Fairbanks and still live up in the area. I did not want to move when we had to move back to the lower 48. I fell in love with the area. You live in a beautiful state with wonderful people that live there.

I am actually Native here most of my family lives in barrow and when we hunt whales its usually in the spring. The whales we hunt are bowhead whales, the boats we use are made from seal skin and there are about 8 people on a boat at a time. Then after we have harvested the whales we have a Nalukatuk (festival) and we pass out the said harvested whale to the community.

I enjoyed this Barrow and your last one which was the weather was not summer. Hats off to all 4,000 Barrow residents who reside and take pride of their remote village? Me? I’d love to check it out with lots of other Alaskan areas ( in the summer that is🤣) to see the beautiful Final Frontier renting a Class C motorhome and doing it. We’ll see how my health gets. People say why choose AK? Short summers, cold dark winters, lots of snow. But people say why did you choose Florida? Heat, humidity, no mountains, no season change. Whatever makes you content and happy!

Back in the 1980s one summer day I flew from Fairbanks to Barrow on Markair. It was a Boeing 737, yet there was only one other passenger on the plane besides myself. Unfortunately, when it got up to Barrow it was very foggy. The pilot had a couple of missed approaches landing, and gave up. Took us over to Deadhorse instead, same thing. So had to continue on back to Fairbanks Intl, where we started. Landed there then took another Markair Flight later in the day. That one had about a dozen passengers, and by that time the fog had lifted in Barrow so we were able to land. No wonder Markair went bankrupt.

Funny that Barrow is at the tip of Alaska and here in Florida the tip is Key West. They have the giant boey that says mile marker 0. You're not far from Cuba and the Bahamas. I lived in South Florida and only went to Key West twice. It's pretty hot down there year round but also susceptible to hurricanes too. 😬🌀 It was so emotional for Nana to leave both of her daughters and all of her grandbabies. 😥 But she'll be back soon. Crazy that October is only three and a half months away! 🤯

Thanks so much for giving us a fresh tour of Barrow! A friend of mine lives there as the dean of students at the native college… I’ll have to look it up to know how to spell it, but it’s the same as the current native name of the town. This will be his 3rd yard beginning soon. He really loves it there and enjoys the people. He often shares the different amazing cultural experiences. Next time you go, maybe I could introduce you to him, and he could give you a tour of the college and talk about life there versus the lower 48 or even versus other parts of Alaska. Blessings on your family and your dear mom as she returns home. Changes can be so hard, but as with other things in your lives, you have so much love and kindness to share with one another that prayerfully she feels very supported. Bless your sister, too, as she and her hubby adjust to life there. Love you guys so much and appreciate all your lovely sharing! The Lord bless and keep you!! 💕😊💙😃💖
