It was. The lyrics are voice samples from the movie "Doctor Strangelove or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb". There, the Soviets built the doomsday machine - which was based on the "dead hand", a soviet retaliation project during the cold war.

Still such a nice and clear track. The way the audio is blended and managed shows just how talented FTL was while they were still producing tracks and uploading them here. I remember when Firestorm, Faster than Light & 600 years came out. What a time to be alive; back when a lot of this was just trailblazing and very new on the scene of music. Early 2012/2014 on youtube and even far before that live.
