Omg placidusax at the end. He looks so good, avenging maliketh’s missed triple slash projectile against malenia in a different round. She was cool dodging them by her continuous aerial attacks, but not as cool as placidusax dodging first her clone attacks then outdistancing waterfowl and laser her to death while she waterfowls. That is so satisfying. I always loved it when a boss dodges another’s most dangerous attack, and here he dodges two from the most broken boss, and gives her his own ultimate move while he is at it

Placi’s is becoming one of my most fav fighter after pulling upset victories like this one in style with laser. First he kills rick with it, then greyoll, then malenia. Am i missing anyone? He represented faith build when maliketh, whom i put my hopes in against aforementioned enemies, disappointed. I only wish to see him fly away when fallingstar beast does his laser, followed by a laser of his own, should a rematch occurs. Also, we should be able to continuously cast his laser like we can with comet azur

I personally like NG7+ round 2 the best. Maliketh instead of depleting malenia’s health and sacrificing himself to the rot, decided to deal with the pesky ranged enemies first. The dragons are struggling to keep up with malenia’s pace. Lanseax is about to meet her end and placidusax could be overwhelmed But maliketh swoops in and decimated Malenia before she even have the chance to recover, sacrificing himself in the process. I like to interpret that roar placidusax emitted at the end was a cry of wallow and dejection cus maliketh probably could’ve also get the job done if he just use his ranged destined death attacks, making his sacrifice all the more sadder

It's for balance reasons had say this health been full for the second phase many people would struggle to beat the game on their first play through. Keep in mind Malketh does more DPS than Melania as well as more base damage per hit on his second phase.

@@paweuszcz4856 Yeah, against a player I might agree (even though I still think its damage should just be buffed, not made into a one-shot), but against a boss it's incredibly unfair. Placidousax's poise is incredibly high anyways, so it's not actually very common for bosses to stun him out of his attacks, unless they're Godfrey. If you were to make his bolt a one-shot, it would transform every fight in 1. Placidousax wins through an asspull, 2. Placidousax gets bad RNG and the fight goes as normal or 3. Placidousax gets stunned out of it and the fight goes as normal. Basically, if he uses the attack it's over, and if he doesn't, the fight doesn't change from its base version. It's at best a useless addition and at worst a completely unfair win condition.

On paper, Haligtree had all the advantages that should make this fight easily go in their favor: - Scarlet Rot only needing to proc once to essentially kill whoever it was afflicted with. - Scarlet Rot being based on percentage health. - Scarlet Rot not needing the caster to be alive to have it continuously damage enemies. - Having 5 beefy units with access to big AoE Scarlet Rot that can easily proc it (Putrid Flower, Tree Spirit, Tree Avatar, Cleanrot Knight, and Malenia) - Malenia being able to continuously heal off of attacks and having a 2nd phase that puts her back at full health (Maliketh 2nd phase keeps current health) and also cleanses her of any debuff like Destined Death or Black Flame. Even in cases where the Farum Azula enemies managed to win, the Scarlet Rot eventually killed them.

Watch his "can any boss beat the Haligtree forces" and watch how many times Scarlet Rot just takes care of a lot of the bosses by virtue of being percent-health based and lasting virtually until death. If you watch this video closely you'll see several times that Scarlet Rot handed the Haligtree its victory due to the reasons above.

Haligtree has (arguably) one of the hardest of the heavy hitters while Farum Azula has the most. Between Godskin, Maliketh (even Beast Clergyman) AND Placi they represent like 99% of the power on that team Edit: it isn't even just the enemies in the Haligtree, it's how the entire environment is designed to kill you. The tree branches, the insanely hard knights (who weren't here, interestingly), the pond of rot...

People say Malenia is stronger: maybe she is because of the double health bar and healing ability, but to me, Maliketh still wins. Proportionally, he's the best.
