As a guy who has had 3 of these mopeds in the family, I can say, these machines have the ability to outlive their owners. In Faisal Khan's vocabulary, "Supremely Reliable." We bought a TVS XL heavy duty 50cc back in 2006, and that thing still runs like it's new. Butter smooth. My uncle has one that's older, same case there as well. During the 2015 Chennai floods, the XL 50 in our house got submerged totally. Only the mirror was sticking out of the water, remaining entire vehicle stayed under the water for nearly 5 days. Once the water got drained, we did nothing. We just dismantled the entire moped, sun dried all the parts and put it back together. That's it. The thing roared back to life, and it's still running. Only thing that doesn't work in it is the speedometer. That's it. Everything else feels butter smooth. Recently we bought another XL, the same XL 100 heavy duty green color reviewed here. It's great to own. If your usage is going to be only in the city, and if you will never take your two wheeler to the highway, this thing is better than any commuter bike or scooter you can buy. People who laugh at it are the ones who had never tasted it. Extreme fun machines these are!

This Vlog reminded of an incident once my grandfather locked this thing (xl100) with a chain on the pole of his house and my dad who was young took the keys and started the bike and for fun he accelerated and then emptied the whole tank and then was beaten up by my grandfather.
