I could feel my heart break as she sang. What a song! What a performance!

So often watching Fascinating Aida I'm so busy laughing my socks off I miss the brilliance of their songwriting and the penetration of their observation. And then they perform something like this. Simply stunning. Can't wait to see them live again.

'The satin dress upon its hanger shimmers like a ghost to illustrate the transience of things we love the most' ... unbearably brilliant, artistry and songwriting.

This may be the thing I love the most about FA. They hit you with funny after funny, with razor sharp wit and seemingly effortless satire - and just when your sides are absolutely aching with laughter and you can't take any more, they leave you absolutely crying your eyes out. If I see this one, or "Look Mummy No Hands" or "Goodbye Old Friends", or "This Table" on the programme, I know to make sure I have some tissues ready. I love these ladies so very much.

A phenomenal performance, which proves that even when you are fooling about with music you need underlying talent. This lady has it in spades and the song is a great way to show it!

I’ve never been so moved by a song! I can see the anguish and love in your eyes at the same time. This was the best moment of pure perfection I have ever experienced. Lisa’s acting, wonderful depth of feeling and wonderful vocals all topped off with such a sympathetic backing by Dillie. I want to say thank you….but that just doesn’t do you justice. I don’t cry at funerals….but I’m still teary now. I just hope this isn’t a song based on real events. I am a lover of all music, metal is my go to normally. But I have a new favourite song ever. Utter soul wrenching, heart breaking perfection.

Wow...I came expecting more of their witty humour and I'm not the kind to listen to emotional music. I never saw the point in listening to lyrics that don't amuse me, but this is phenominal...I've fallen in love with these ladies today. Very witty, very talented performers. I intend to buy everything they've done, now.

Read your comment at the start and thought "oh no, not sure I wanna watch it then". But Jaysus that is art! So glad to be able to watch something like this on the internet during a pandemic!

Look out their "Time", too: another one that isn't a comic song, but very moving. And a lovely tune, too. (If anyone knows of a clear clip of "Time", please share: I want to share it with people, but wish the lyrics were clearer.)

It is beyone me why FA only has 15k subscribers and why a simple gaming video has a tenfold of views. Is true talent and hard work not appreciated anymore? (And why am I only viewing this in 2019, a full 8 years after this gem was posted?)
