I think you would enjoy Castle Archdale Country Park near Lisnarick. Is is a caravan site and it was a base for flying boats during World War II .

Hi Bob, jenny & poppy, I could spend all day walking the grounds. I like the peace & quiet, I wonder do they allow you to have picnics in the grounds, as the house itself is a perfect back drop. Thank you both for this lovely vlog, take care, lots of love. Linda xx ❤

I can't see why not, it would be a great place for a picnic. It'd have to be a blanket, didn't see any tables.

Absolutely, picnics are allowed. So many places to sit and relax in.

Yes Castle Coole is excellent. Florence Court has better grounds but as a house CC is much superior.

Great video so glad I found ur channel there last week. Florence court is worth a visit and only 50 mile from where I live. We hired a camper van last year and promised ourselves we would buy one. They are a great way to see the country and tour around.

Another great video tour. The mystery item in the dairy is a separator to separate off the cream from the milk. I am showing my age I guess but I can remember as a kid seeing these machines in the local dairy in a small country town in Victoria, Australia.

Thanks for that, I did wonder.

Thanks for your video. Regarding recording guided visits. We visited Melrose Abbey last Thursday and Phyllis used your video to help us round. All 4 great Abbeys in the area do not allow anyone inside the main buildings now, only the surrounding parts so your tour allowed us to see what we were missing! The staff remembered you and Poppy and have viewed your video. Your guide John was due in the following day and they would tell him his tour is still helping others now. We had to cut short out Scottish Borders trip and return home 2 days later as I have caught Covid. 300 mile towing our caravan in a day! But we are home. Phyllis also now has symptoms!!!
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that and thanks for that information, good to know. We've both had a cold for the last few days, but we don't know if it's covid yet. Testing negative at the moment, but we know that's no guide.

@@BobEarnshawMoHo on first day just sore throat and negative test. Second day feeling a bit rougher and tested positive! I suspect the Royal Yacht Britannia that we visited on the previous Monday lots of enclosed areas though plenty of open doors and windows. Heard later Scotland had the highest infection rates in the country.

The mountain is probably Cuilcagh whose flat summit is only five or six km or three to four miles from Florence Court. Benbulbin is about 30 miles away over near Sligo.

I find watching your videos very restful and soothing, thanks for taking the time to prepare them. FYI the Butler’s Apartment, whose door you featured can be hired as self catering accommodation via the NT website. It looks lovely but sadly it is not dog friendly. The NT site at Castle Crom twenty or thirty miles from Florence Court does have dog friendly accommodation and is also really good for a peaceful break.

I can see a movie under all those arches of ladies in crindolene or seductive couples dining under them watching croquet,On the lawns.. Bulgaria don't let ppl phota. Sounds wierd to be so possessive over taking photas.. Think political councillar rules do anything to sabotage interest. Even England members of national trust are fed up with trust rules.
