I loved your video of this explanation ....But I'm making my comment on this subject Because there is something about a kaleidescope that most people don't understand And that is that A kaleidescope is really not just a toy I don't know if it was ever what I've been using it for But I have used a kaleidescope to explain the bending of light Or in other words a representation of the bending of time In a diverse way , I know But also in a sort of fun way But also a kaleidescope is demonstrating more than just colors and patterns But a dimension(s)(al) effect that is found within the eye and the mind Because this is where the dimension(s)(al) will make it effects known I have performed experiments that have verified these finding (for example , like a color wheel) That when you vary the colors that you spin The combinations of color will give your eye a representation of for example a primary color As when you combine certain colors to make other colors ect. And that as you have mentioned A kaleidescope can cause a hypnosis effect Upon certain persons that use them Not necessarily for that But it has been known to do this very thing (hypnotize) 🙂🙂🙂

At 18 minutes 41 second in this video of yours your screen capture is indeed of a C. G. Bush Victorian Table Parlor Kaleidoscope, however At 18 minutes 42 seconds your second screen capture is not a different example of that model, but rather of its predecessor which spawned the eventual American C.G. Bush model. That image is of a London Stereoscopic Company New Patent Jewel Kaleidoscope which has a noticeably longer body, uses a brass plated cast iron aesthetically configured floral with stem support column, as well as a few other noticeable aesthetic trim details at the eyepiece end.

Thank you for the attention to this important detail. At the time of this recording I had not researched this fact. I appreciate your input and correction.

Hi again! As a sequel to my very recent previous comment, the link below will take you to season 4 episode 30 of the television reality series produced by the BBC entitled The Repair Shop. At 13 minutes 52 seconds begins the first of the segments on the third project covered for this particular production which ends at 18 minutes 23 seconds. The object to be repaired is an example of an English Victorian London Stereoscopic Company New Patent Jewel Kaleidoscope which I previously cited as the brand, and model the American, Charles W. Bush nearly copied in every way. The second segment covering the kaleidoscope begins at 29 minutes 59 seconds, and ends at 34 minutes 3 seconds, while at 37 minutes 59 seconds begins the final segment running to the end of the episode finishing at 41 minutes 49 seconds. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpmkgpJ-nbWSrK8si=ptFBSp9YpxyGVzTt

How absolutely wonderful, thank you for sharing this link. I am excited to watch it. I am always amazed to see the intricate level of skill when it came to these Kaleidoscopes back then. Fascinating to see.
