The only one of these that I've read is What Moves the Dead. I enjoyed it, but I can see how the mystery element would be overpowering. I had to include it my "the reasons why I don't eat mushrooms" collection...

It wasn't a great month, but at least I found one I really liked. Yeah, Roadside Picnic just wasn't for me.
