I was there when they were playing this song and other freestyle songs in the clubs and it was fire! Everyone making tape of their best sings and pumping it loud out their cars and boomboxes and hitting the clubs on weekends to dance it up hard all night. The energy in the clubs were incredible and nothing like it today. I met him while taking a graffiti tag in Coney Island Brooklyn, he asked to borrow the marker and wrote Kaze. Imagine years later when i realized Todd Terry , Kaze productions was that dude. Hung out late 90s and he recalled the meeting. Priceless...

Great story and thanks for sharing. Met him briefly at the winter music convention in Miami around 2001. Yeah, he is a dance music genius and was involved with early house music also. Back then all was played in the clubs and evolve from one style to another, but to me it’s all great dance music and love all the music they used to pimp in the clubs.
