Why do people think music expires? I'm glad you enjoy the memory, but I'm irritated at the thought that no one would get on the floor for this now. Where I live, I'd be screwed if I played 21st Century music, which is its own horror, but why do you think this song expired? In some places, anything newer than this would be alien and totally hated.

This track is unbelievable even 25 years later. It has to be the best mix track of all time. The part with the conga/timbale break followed by the woman singing in some kind of Middle Eastern chant is unbelievable and pure genius. So many great superimpositions of unrelated material make this a classic.

I was 16, living in a small town in England when it came out. At the time i went to go into a phone box (still red in those days) to make a call and i noticed someone had left 2 45rpm singles on the side on top of the phone book shelf. I looked to see what records they were inside the singles record bag, and one of them was this track, but the 45 version. The person it belonged to looked like they were long gone. So i decided to take them home and play them. At that age i was more into chart rock Heart, Europe, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Tpau. I hadn't heard this track before. When i put it on my record player, i instantly didn't really like it. Found it hard to relate to and i didn't appreciate it for what it was. 30 years later, on listening to the same track again, glad to say i can appreciate this track as something special. It does sound fresh and vibrant to this day.

I have this album version, I'm 59 and still loving it! Although I keep it stored and listen to a recording. This will never fade!
