Fashion Face Off! @BarbieStyle vs. Play Line Fashion Packs

I noticed that the majority of the fashions in the fashion packs have actual hemmed edges which was surprising to me. I had stopped buying them for that reason but now, I may pick up one or two, especially that tropical/floral dress pack. Thanks for the review!

As I try to get a casual adult wardrobes for my dolls I prefer the @Barbiestyle but I love the made to move t-shirt. I use to think when will I see this outfit on a real human. Then continue to will I ever create a diorama and which doll will wear it. About the quality you get what you pay for. Cost of fabric, sewing, shipping etc will impact the cost. I almost forgot Nice comparison!

I wish that Mattel would switch between muted and funky colored fashion packs for their regular playline. It adds more variety. That, and introduce button-down shirts, long sleeve outfits, and jackets. The Barbie style packs are cute but unavailable where I live. 😢

I got these from the sale too, and two Looks dolls for free because they were $22 while the outfits were $25 😂 It was so nice to have snaps again, instead of Velcro. I do really like the playlist floral set though.

I wish Mattel would bring out four BarbieStyle packs a year: one original, one petite, one tall, one curvy. I have gotten the play line fashion packs kind of to get by so the dolls aren't sitting around naked. Having said that, the multicolored midi-length gown in the third pack is pretty and looks great on curvy girls. I hate that so many outfits for the curvy girls look dowdy. I mean, Looks 16 is anything BUT dowdy. Then again, there are plenty of sellers on eBay and Etsy who make great Barbie and Ken clothes.

The curvy shoe size is also the same for the tall Barbies Also have the spring dress fashion and it fit petites and tall Barbies I tried it on just slightly different. I was also able to add a shirt under and lower it down to give a high waist suspender skirt look.

I stopped buying Barbie play-line fashion packs 10 years ago because the quality is so low. Seems like less and less are actually hemmed its all just surged now. It's sad how bad they are getting.
