Hi Lauren, great tips. I have the same issue and tend to avoid buying button up shirts, that is until I found Anne Fountaine! Her shirts are pricy, but the buttons are spaced strategically so that there is no gapping at the bust! Love them and I don't have to spend extra money and time getting it tailored, plus the quality of her garments are worth the price. Hope this helps your other viewers.

the best solution I have found is sew on press studs at the gaping area.

Someone told me that she sews a regular button on the reverse side of the shirt, and makes a button hole under it. Same principle as press studs.

Chi9ja Yes, I did that for some of my tops. Much easier than adding buttons as you have to sew button holes.

For hem repairs, try iron on hem tape. Most are machine washable and if they start to come undone, just hit them with the iron again. Caution, this is not strong enough for seams.

Hi Lauren! I am an avid researcher of trying to determine my own style when I came upon your videos. You are a GOLD MINE. LOVE them and the work you do. You are right up there with Stacy London in my opinion. So, I have two separate questions: 1. As a more particular person, I use a wardrobe app for mixing and matching clothes. Sometimes it helps, but sometimes it doesn't. How do you feel about wardrobe apps like Closet Space for inspiring more outfit options? What tools do you use to get the maximum amount of outfits out of your pieces? 2. I am an extremely active person and find myself in active gear 90% of the time, even after I have worked out that day. If I do change into regular clothes, then I feel "overdressed". I feel unstylish in active wear and yet it's necessary to keep a body right! Don't get me wrong, my active clothes are not exactly cheap stuff either. Any tips for looking stylish in activewear or how to motivate myself to change outfits during the day more frequently?

Love your suggestions! I don't have a big bust, however I don't like my shirts to show any possible gaps at all, so I sew them shut! LOL I leave the top and bottom buttons unsewn incase I want to wear like one tail tucked and the other out or have a big necklace on. Works great but you can no longer wear it open- not that I would want to but some people might.

Hi Lauren, love, love your videos! Thanks for inspiring us to look and feel better. Questions: what do you think of watches as an accessory? Seems like no one really pays attention to fancy watches in this digital age. Can you also address the type of fabrics--silk, linen, cashmere, cotton/polyester blend, etc...and the type of seasons for those fabrics? Are there certain rules? Thanks

Hi Lauren, I have a fashion question. I was looking to expand my jean collection outside of skinny jeans, but there are so many trendy styles in the market right now. A lot of them seem to be temporary fads and I wanted to buy a pair that would still be wearable in a few years time. What styles do you think would be better investments (I'm kinda into the cropped flare style)? Thanks

Oh, and one more question: I have a TON of freckles on my face and have a fear of wearing prints on tops. I feel like it may make the entire look way too busy. This is compounded with the fact that my hips are largish so I don't wear prints on my bottom half either because my hips are, well, like BAM already. So, I don't really wear prints at all. I've seen your fear of prints video already and enjoyed it but it didn't really answer my question. My real question is: do you believe freckles on your face clash with any particular types of prints?

Freckles with a nice middle sized to large cheetah print blouse would be so cute. A solid wide leg trouser to balance the hips. If you work with the concept of power clashing it will draw positive attention to your freckles.
