Just discovered this channel a couple of days ago. I have to say after watching a few of Proff's videos that he is the best dressed man on KZbin. I've watched all the style guru channels and I don't know why I've never come across AskOkey. Proff and I have identical tastes and philosophies when it comes to style and dressing well. Hope there are many more videos to follow. Just one note of advice, Proof....use more photos or videos of examples of what you are referring to while you're speaking. Shirts, ties, slacks, cuffs, coats, etc. Thanks for having a great channel on classic men's style.

Max Weber's "The Protestant Ethic and The Spirit of Capitalism" ties in perfectly to what Pete is saying. Calvinism's demand for simplicity stood juxtaposed to Catholicism's opulence and "splendor". Religion influenced the arts, architecture, business, education, and many other aspects of life. It stands to reason that fashion too would be influenced by religion.

I am aware that a white shirt is most formal, whereas sky blue or light blue shirts are also formal. What's your take on blue shirts which are of a slightly deeper shade? Say for instance royal blue or French blue? Are those equally formal as a sky blue shirt? Or are those best left reserved for suits worn on slightly casual or less formal occasions? Your insights on this would mean a lot to me!
