I did'nt know a video of hèr at 17 singing this exist until you featured it and i'm just as impressed she sounded mature and skillful at whitneys level already. mature professional or very young artist will sound almost at the same level of quality if he or she is a born performer . Around this time I believe she was 18/19, 2014/15 , Charice was the pride of the Philippines along with Sarah G. This was following her losing out in the semi-finals of The Voice-Philippines , where after she told her mom, she wanted to quit perusing , becoming an artist. Better than Whitney?? Sorry, not even close. Mori’s version is good but Whitney’s is untouchable. She had a natural gift-the ability to connect to every word she sang; her vocal phrasing, technique, and tone set her apart from any other singer. And although she undoubtedly influenced most of the singers who came after her, there will never be another Voice like Whitney Houston’s.
