This is a terrific tour of the Highgrove gardens. Wonderful. But the title is inaccurate -- it is not a tour of the inside of Highgrove. And one small detail: the record height of a delphinium cannot be 18 inches. Migjt it be 18 feet?

Diana did not like living at Highgrove. Unlike Charles she liked city life and the glamour. But William and Harry must of loved it as children, a childs wonderland. Wonderfull work the now King Charles.

Diana, Princess of Wales, grew up in the country near Sandringham. It is my understanding that she did not like Highgrove because she was not welcomed there. It is located near Camilla's home and used as a randevoir point for their adulterous affair.

Ein schönes Anwesen mit einer wunderbaren Gartenanlage. Für König Charles wäre dieser Ort in seinem Alter lebensfreundlicher , als die Last dieser Krone zu tragen. Er wäre ein gefragter Naturforscher geworden.

I have been saving this gem video for last, to devote my undivided attention to!! Thank you for providing the information and beautiful sights and landscapes in this scenic view of King Charles' estate. Charles is right, it takes a long time for regrowth, after damage or cutting down of trees to regrow. It's plain to see that Charles is one with nature! I bet that Charles wouldn't mind camping out in any of the yards on his property, in a commercial tent, and he wouldn't mind the sounds of the outdoors at night, as he lays snug in his sleeping bag! But he might need to call Camilla on his cell phone from time to time, for her to bring him a snack when he is hungry! And Charles is not the only one who "talks" to plants. I talked to flowers when I was 8 years old, and they actually "talked" back! But I think that my experience was very different than Charles's. I really believe that I met with God, or maybe my guardian angel, because the tiny little flower moved back and forth by itself, like it was politely "answering" me! And there was no wind or breeze, it was only the one little flower moving by itself, while the other tiny flowers around it were perfectly still! I asked questions to this tiny flower that was growing from the ground under the Willow tree, (as only a child would do), and the flower gently moved back and forth, as if it was saying, "yes". When we are children, anything is possible, especially since children believe, and naturally have faith. I like the scenes of Charles, when he was still a Prince, wearing the hunter green shirt, and also at 12:30, when Charles and William are posing together, and at 14:47, when Charles, William, and Harry are posing together, when the boys were teenagers. This video is VERY impressive, with alot of valuable information, and I will save it in my KZbin collection of cherished videos. Dear King Charles, thank you for cooperating with the Fashion company, to allow your lovely home at HighGrove to be filmed, and studied, and generously shared with all of us! I will return to watch this video many times over! And I will have to pretend that I am visiting at HighGrove, if only in my dreams. 🧚 I love you King Charles🤴 💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🩷 🌹🏵🌷🪻🌻🌼🌿☘️🪴🌴🌲🌳🌾🍁🪺

The gardens are absolutely spectacular, and you can tell how much love the king has put in them. He needn’t have worried to much about the publication of the Housekeeper’s Diary. If anything, it shows Diana to be the worse person in the marriage and as a parent, and it also proves how deluded Harold is when he called his father ‘cold’. What rot. Yah he didn’t ’love bomb’ like Diana did, but he was also a very kind and loving father… and clearly pretty patient considering how much trouble Harold has caused over the years.

I love the garden the garden is all around or just magnificent, the colours and the height of the plant the flowers and all the green around. It’s just swallow. My mother was always to say to me that green and Gardens is a sight for sore eyes as we live in a city. It’s all brick and mortar and I took it on and created for my parents. Also a nice garden a lot of roses and greens and and flowers and I still love it. It’s beautiful it’s relaxes you especially if you can grow mint tea in all sorts, which is Hennessy and And the smell of fresh flowers, and then it’s just beautiful girls. I have a lot of raspberries and allsorts of its wonderful before breakfast to wonder around and just pick here and there is something in and really appreciate the universe and nature. Thank you so much I say to everyone, happiness is a journey, not a destination. Good luck to you. there.

King Charles has been a pioneer in organic farming and so many other things. He was often ridiculed for his views, but has been proved to have been ahead of his time in so many things. I think the gardens of Highgrove are beautiful. I thought that he owned Highgrove, and that it wasn't part of the Duchy of Cornwall: I suppose it doesn't make much difference since he rents it anyway - and William isn't going to be taking it from him.

The King does not live at Buckingham Palace. “Currently, Clarence House is the London residence of King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla. They intend to continue to use Clarence House as their London home until at least 2027 during renovations to Buckingham Palace. Buckingham Palace will remain the administrative headquarters for the monarchy and the location of state events during this time.”

Sure he’s a great gardener. Perhaps he could just be allowed to quietly stay in the potting shed, and keep away from the Church of England. They are in enough problems without him getting involved. He holds a very dangerous amount of influence. It is frightening to begin to imagine as to what he could be quietly doing with it.

Charles and Diana spent "lovely weekends" there with their sons? According to Highgrove housekeeper at the time, Wendy Berry, nothing could be further from the truth: Diana frequently shut herself up with William in her bedroom; and indulged in temper tantrums, crying episodes, and giving Charles the silent treatment. She also frequently interfered with Charles's efforts to spend time with his sons. There are several KZbinrs who have summarized and/or read excerpts from Berry's book, The Housekeeper's Diary.

These robotically narrated videos are more than annoying, not to mention the erroneous content. Two minutes into this video and already he has misidentified the Duke of Sussex as Duke of Essex; and, also omitted that Clarence House is HM's primary residence in London. Photographs are beautiful, even if clipped from other videos.

@@castlegate2013-vw9luWell even if this was true, at least the things produced from Highgrove like jams from fruits grown on this estate contributes largely towards charitable causes as well, when sold etc. Our taxes also pay salaries of MPs in the government who earn quite high salaries and they don't do as much for the environment and charities that the King has done over the years. Also King Charles used his whole navy pension payment to create the Princes Trust, a charity to enable disadvantages young people to be able to do apprenticeships, and courses to better themselves in life. It would be interesting to see what a president would do, if we no longer had the King as head of state. Besides monies being donated to charities by produces grown in Highgrove, the monies it brings in also goes towards the upkeep of Highgrove. In America for example, as ex president receives ongoing payments for life to cover his it her household and domestic costs etc. In England a ex prime minister received a huge pension for life, even if the prime minister did not serve a full term. Liz Truss for example gets a ex prime ministers pension even though she was only a prime minister for less than three months. The royals work hard in helping to raise monies for charities in various ways. The King is addressing slimming down the working royals and planning to open up more royal residences to the public certain times of the year, to raise monies to help pay the upkeep if these places. This will attract more tourists to visit historical buildings like this and others. Public funds would still go towards the upkeep of all these residences even if the monarchy was done away with and we had a elected president of state. At least with the King, we only have one head if state while he lives, untill he passes away and Prince William takes over. As a president would receive a large state pension and security possibly, imagine if for let's say twenty years, after the Royal monarchy was done away with in a row we paying towards four ex presidents retirement, and a current one lol. They don't do anything like the King and working royals to contribute towards charities either in a big way like the royal family. So if one thinks it will be cheaper for everyone if the monarchy is done away with, then they are quite mistaken. If anything it will become more expensive for tax payers. We would still also be contributing towards maintaining old historical buildings anyway, like castles and so on, as it's all part of our history as a nation, wether it not royals in name only who are no longer working royals lived in some of these places or not, even if we no longer covered their personal costs and paid duties they won't be doing, maybe only voluntary duties etc. The Monarchy brings in lots of tourists each year as well, bit just to visit the castles etc, but to actually see the royals traditions, trooping of the colour etc. I understand where you comming from, but just expressing what the alternatives would be like, if we did not have a royal monarch as head if state and why it would not necessarily be cheaper to do away with the monarchy and become a republic.

Yes - And I’d add that even the interpretive stuff is convoluted. For example, King Charles supposedly “hates an overly manicured garden” 22:36 - yet has installed exotic statuary amongst other garden ornamentation, created geometric designed hedgerows, nurtured espaliered fruit trees and trimmed ornate topiaries?!?! That is nothing if not thoroughly contradictory. It would have been more apt to say that the king is enamored of many forms of garden design - from informal meadows and cottage gardens, to traditionally planned gardens, to classically designed outdoor spaces.

King Charles is my kind of King! A lot of issues for the world can be resolved in a garden. Bravo on your beautiful garden.

His Majesty King Charles III was way ahead of his time when it came to horticulture and agriculture. Many British people have no idea of how much he invested in their health and well-being. And many people in other countries have also benefitted by his support of natural ways to fertilize their farmlands.

Such jealousy I have rarely seen. He began this long before Diana. The gardens are spectacular. A testament to his early love of nature and gardens. I doubt the detractors goive anything to the vets and homeless. Easy to criticize but it really sounds like envy and jealousy.
