Her homes are the most beautiful homes in the world. Perfection with heart and soul. Every time I see one of her homes I am completely impressed with the talent she stamps on each and every one. No one has her personal talent. I have seen her at stores, and flea markets three times. Each time she looks as incredible as any photo of her in publications. She is a person everyone can look up to as far as style unique.

I met her once and was so excited I babbled on and on about her (second) home preservation work. I loved the house in Beverly Hills that was featured in Architectural Digest. It was a Wallace Neff design, now estimated at almost 20 million dollars. (The first house she had in Beverly Hills was also a Wallace Neff design, which was later purchased by Madonna and Guy Ritchie). She was delightful. And if I would meet her again, I wouldn't babble, I would just thank her and tell her she inspires me. 😊

I agree. Everything is high taste, museumish, says "I know art and design history, and I am an important person with unlimited wealth, not visionary imagination or magic". An hour on Pinterest will blow the mind of most people and Ms. Keaton settled on industrial lighting and rusticated machine-for -living. If she's happy, I'm happy for her. Not a home vibe for me, or even a comfortable brief hotel stay. That said, lots of people want a streamlined style in our 70s.

Look at the home that was in Architectural Digest, it was incredible. In Beverly Hills. A bit more colorful and homey... I like that she designs with repurpose in mind. You have to remember too, the house was completely cleaned up for picture taking. What, with two children and dogs, nothing stays "clean" for long. It's the people that make a house a home.

Love Diane Keaton and her personal style. For the most part I love her house however there were a couple of instances where I thought the decor tending towards uncomfortably 'institutional' rather than 'industrial' chic. For example the monastic bedroom and sanatorium style bathroom at 8.15 and 8.34.

She has a great sense for the lost art of symmetry, balance, and repeating elements to create a pattern. However, she unfortunately has fallen prey to the contemporary trend of using only cold colors and materials. I can't wait until this trend runs its course and we return to warm colors and warm materials.

Cohesive but cold and boring w the same black and white palette everywhere. Nothing cozy or charming with so much industrial furnishing. But those are the kind of clothes she wears too..very structured and masculine. With that being said, she is still one of my favorite actresses, just would not want her to design my home or my wardrobe.
