Sorry Charlie, Josie’s right- the mirrors too high LOL 😂
@merrywalsh28093 жыл бұрын
It is a law of the universe: men, left to their own devices, will always hang things too high. Once, when I was a nurse, I decided to pop into a new ward being outfitted, just to check out what might be getting affixed too high, and discovered sharps containers (for used needles) so high that I could not see the tops where the needles go in. That would be dangerous, so I reported it. All 20 of them got moved down, so the shortest nurses could see the top.

Also its not a great idea to pour the hot water/wax down the drain it is best to pour it on top of trash to get rid of it because the wax will harden inside and can ruin your pipes! Something Is very hard to fix that was learned the hard way

Hi Josie, another excellent video. Just a suggestion, you may want to reconsider in the cottage not placing the new mirror right directly facing the bed. It’s negative energy (feng Shui) . I hope all guests respect the energy and time you and Charlie have spent preparing this place! Wow ! ❤️🇨🇦

I’m not sure which video it was that you mentioned your halo pads and that they were getting stained but I meant to add a comment about keeping them white. I bought some on your recommendation and have used the same one since Christmas last year. It’s is still lovely and white. I rub it with a bar of hand soap and rinse it after each use and it just takes a minute and the makeup all comes off. It’s dry and ready for the next night. I think that is what they recommend doing and I guess the makeup never dries on it. X

I think it would be so fun to see you take 1-2 items from each category of clothing- your fall/winter wardrobe essentials- and create multiple outfits using the same pieces! I think that so often, we get caught up in this mindset of buy buy buy, that we forget how many amazing pieces we actually own! I mean look at your closet, it’s absolutely stunning but you have so many clothes that you aren’t getting enough wear time out of every piece, which is why it’s so cool that you’re renting them out! But the challenging part a lot of the times is taking our essentials and finding different ways to wear them so it doesn’t look like we’re repeating the same outfit. So I think it would be different for you to film that style of video, but I think people would love it!! Because most of us aren’t in this industry so we can’t just do multiple huge fashion hauls every week and month. So taking 2 vests, 2 coats, a couple pants, a few dresses, a couple handbags and winter accessories and creating a bunch of different outfits would be so inspiring on how we can utilize our own wardrobes! Maybe throw in some capes, belts, sweaters, etc. I see a lot of fashion channels already doing “Creating 100 outfits using 20 pieces” type videos, but goodness me.. let’s just say their personal style is NOT up my alley 😂 I’d never wear most of what they own but since your style is so similar to my own, I think I’d benefit a great deal more if you did something like that. Just something fun and different! Just an idea though. Xoxo❤️

Hi Josie, the cottage has come along beautifully. All the touches of trims, and comforting fabrics makes it feel so homey and welcoming. I have to say that you are Charlie are definitely soul mates. Even if you both have a slight disagreement, there seems to always be a respect and politeness between you both. Many other couple vlogs seem to demean each other, or roll eyes, and insulting or name calling. Even if supposed to be in fun is not amusing or respectful. You both are my favorite couple in vlogs.

They make cord covers that extend down walls from the lights (around 16:40) and make cords tidier. I love seeing your home items most of all on your channel. On candle wax in containers where the mouth of the container is larger than the bottom- put the candle in the freezer and after frozen it pops right out- sometimes it needs a little help with a knife-edge. Then you just have a tiny ring of wax to get out.

Hi Josie, I clean old wax by melting it again, I put the candle jar inside a pan with a bit of water and let it simmer for a while until the wax melts again and then you can empty the melted wax on a paper towel and put it in a bin as if you pour it down the drain you can block it and it’s very difficult to unblock. Love your blog and your house btw xx
@lyncamero40493 жыл бұрын
Hi, Josie, just a tip. For the candles, do never throw the candle wax water in to the drain, it can get blocked, as when the wax dries out it in the pipes when blocked. My best tip to clean wax candle holder, candelabras etc is soak them in white vinegar, vinegar will help to pop the wax easily and clean the rest with a paper towel. Never use hot water as the wax it will go everywhere and quite annoying. My tip and experience, though. Love your videos and you are so kind.

Hello, put your used candle jars / pots (cold) into the freezer for around 20 minutes. Upturn the jar / pot, and when it starts to defrost at room temperature, the wax will come out a lot easier.
