Hi Monroe! I adore your new hairstyle❤ I’m a licensed hairstylist. I recommend using a serum first. Paul Mitchell skinny serum is my fave and then a small a bout of beeswax on your roots. Add heat using a flatiron or blow dryer. The beeswax will act as a barrier in humid climates! I like the Murray’s brand it’s yellow with black writing I believe. Happy holidays 🥰

This☝🏾🙌🏾…. Also I very small dab of hold mouse and/ or beeswax the ends with a small perm rod on the bottom of a twist gives the best definition when you unravel. Also great for humidity. Enjoy the experimentations!

Hair tips because we actually have the same type of hair. I am natural and l am a strong believer of minimal heat. For your twist try in humidity use more gel based products, curl maker , mielle styling gel . When you have flat iron at any time try design essentials agave and lavender thermal protectant cream only pass with flat iron and it’s smooth!. When it’s not humid try cream based products Camille Rose , curl maker , almond jai. I think you will notice a nice difference!

Hi Monroe, I feel your pain on leave out in warm climates. Once I left my office for lunch, KNOWING I was looking cute, and came back to the office with a leave out puff ball in the top of my straight weave...😂. Another time I was down in DC for a work meeting and was outside speaking to a very attractive gentleman, and as my makeup was melting off, out of the corner of my eye, I could see my hair turning back😮. You should have seen the look on the gentleman's face 😂
