UPDATE 1: As of June 27th 2024 it has been datamined that you now only need to keep 1 robot alive instead of 5 to qualify for the relevant rewards. Not that I have ever met anyone that was bad enough to only have 1 left at the end! UPDATE 2: Some people are mistakingly thinking that the drop rate for a rare glowing mask is 5%, despite me telling everyone not to overthink the numbers... I will clarify this here because that is absolutely NOT the case! Simply put, 5% is just the combined total drop rate of ALL 21 rare masks combined into 1 loot pool. There is 21 items in the pool and the chances of getting each one is 0.238. So 21 x 0.238 = 4.998. That is where the 5% comes from. 5% is NOT your chances of getting each individual item and by NO means do you have 5% chance of getting a glowing mask. Your drop rate percentage per item is STILL 0.238%. I didn't think this would need to be stated, as it is basic common sense to go by the individual drop rate rather than a combined drop rate of all 21 items, and that's why the person who created the table displayed it as it is, but here we are! The whole point in my video was to avoid even bringing this up because it's a completely un-necessary calculation that doesn't even need to be discussed. As a result, all further comments on this will be removed to avoid the spread of misinformation. Judging by the comments on this video it looks like I was absolutely right - it’s a crazy free-for-all out there with the RNG - some people getting a glowing mask on their very first event, whilst some people doing 100+ and just getting repeats like the owl mask. Keep trying folks!

Last night was the first time I've ever seen it get down to just one left. And it was with the usual 10+ people over 500 and it was a cake walk like always, but this time when we got to the end where the puppies attack the robots, I've never seen them jump so hard on the robots, but by the time you could blink and everyone looked up it was just one bot left. I had never seen them take that much damage that fast, and to be honest it was the first time this event I've ever not finished with 5 alive. Still got a mask though, robot I believe that time, the drop rates seem wonky but I've got two of all the older ones, I'm just hanging in to try and get a glowing one at this point 🤷

Op forgot (or don't know) this year drop rates were changed because the rules were changed. You only need 1 robot to survive to get rare loot this year. There no restrictions except 1 robot survive. Check with nuka knights to verify. Newly data mined info is available.

I’ve managed to get 2 of the new glowing masks and I get messages from people or chased to trade for them I’m level 100 so some people think they can just keep pushing and and brake can tell you how many people I had to block I haven’t had an issue up till this event with anything like this

I had to start from scratch when I moved over from PS4 but still this isn't my first time and after like 10 times... Me being generous here but after a certain amount of runs it just gets boring. So get this, I got com banned on Xbox because i made a looking for group post where I wanted to sell plasma thrower mod for enclave plasma rifle, and it was simple, I put READ CAREFULLY: I want to sell plasma thrower true mod for 30k then buy your glowing robot mask for 38k and immediately people started clowning on me through messages and I still do not understand what I did wrong or how I ended up getting com banned. Ok, I thought it was just me. I ran Fasshit 25 times and the masks I was getting were all the old ones and oh so common. I really only wanted the motorized butter churn and I FINALLY got it this morning, when for the first time, I went AFK.

I think Bethesda should try awarding tokens in an event based on participation. For example if I donate beeswax, wood, intestines, kill 20 squirrels and a few super mutants I should get let’s say 10 tokens when the event ends whereas if someone is afk they maybe get 2-3. While I don’t mind people afk I’m sure Bethesda would rather people be actively playing the game rather than afking and this gives people an incentive to participate in the event. Now for what to do with the tokens, there should be a Fasnacht vendor where you can buy a mask roll from each pool for let’s say 250 tickets for a rare so after 25 events where you are active and participate you are guaranteed to get a rare mask. I think the roll should still be random just for the novelty of it and so there is still incentive to trade masks for the one you want. I think if Bethesda made an event like this it would be more successful and engaging

Here's an analogy.. Your chances of getting a glowing mask is like spinning a roulette wheel and calling a number between 1 and 410 (very close estimate when calculated with the .238%) and it landing on the number you called. And, like the OP said, your probabilities haven't changed for the next round. Everything is reset, and your odds do not increase over time...

Fasnacht brings out the worst in the community. I've been playing since launch and the arguing, AFK-ing (which I do as well), trying to mess with the AFK-ers, scamming new players out of their masks, etc. It's absolutely horrible. This is coming from someone who wears the full Responder Fireman outfit - screw the rarity. Everyone should be able to get what they want within reason. I was so happy when mutated events came out and all the rare plans became achievable by everyone. Maybe if the event participation stopped, Bethesda would do something.

More people AFK than anything and it ruins the game for those that want to play. So many people in one area with ungodly full inventory drags the servers bandwidth. Half the servers don't even have enough people playing to be able to finnish the event successfully.

@@EndtimeEnterprises I disagree. Whether the players are loaded into one area (AFK or active) doesn't have a visible effect on performance. The server has to render them, but not their full inventories (maybe aside from their equipped items), there is a reason when you trade with a player it takes a few seconds to see their items - that's when the server has to load them. If too many people have their CAMPs nearby that can hinder the performance, but not the bodies of players. That being said, Fasnacht is the only event that makes people think this way, I'd wager mainly due to the frustration of the RNG. Meat Week AFKs never get any hate, even if they just stand there and not play the drums.

fasnacht has always caused some burnout, rewards are fine in my experience but the way things are going with so many new rares and other stuff being added each year, it's not good. skipping the grind this time, afking for an abysmally low chance of getting a glowing is a waste of power. trading for them is much more achievable

No it doesn’t. A lot of limited time events like The Mothman Equinox 2024 had their rewards set so that you couldn’t get duplicates. Duplicates have also been removed from elder tier daily ops as I already explained in the video. You also can’t get duplicates of expeditions plans either.

@@atomictechmedia ok so they changed it for one seasonal event, but as i remember correctly all the others like Alien Invasion, Fastnacht, Meat Week, Christmas scorched, Treasure Hunt and Spooky scorched, all still give out duplicates and the rewards like weapons or cosmetics in most cases all share the same drop lists. That the daily ops drop list changed is nice, i already got all the new plans that were included in the skyline valley in a row and now i get duplicates again like Alien skin PA plans. Expeditions are also made as it should be, but they are Expeditions not seasonal events, and when i learn all the plans i hope that they start to drop duplicate plans, so i can put them into my camp shop as it is a nice additional caps income. Especially for Fastnacht the drop list is getting huge, maybe excluding the old common masks from the list and including a trader and additional fastnacht currency might be a solution to get rid of such a huge drop list. Players still would need to do the event to get that currency, so even new players might get a chance to get the old masks, but old players wont get frustrated to end up with a lot of old masks instead of new ones.

Yeah... drop rates are crap.. I run the event at least 3 times per day I always get the same recipes and the same common and uncommon masks or one rare every 2 or 3 days that I alreayd have repeated in my inventory. It is a bit non-sensical. It was the same when they adjusted the Daily Ops to drop what you dont have... it took months before I could get the unknwnon plans as they were so rare (alien PA paint) that I always got BOS Medallions and Enclave Medallion... I got at least 50 plans for each, which I have dropped in the red box at Nuka World and the Dnonation Box that was located in Vault 76

Total of 336 possible events (2 wks x 24 hrs /day), unless you are server hop'n. Between playing and AFK'n the event, I got around 20 events / day (280 over the two weeks). Half those events, minimum, I was able to double dip 10 per day (another 140 events/2wks), atleast 4 of those / day were triple dips (another 56/2wks), and always got a minimum of 1 Quad/day (+14), ... I totaled around 490 events completed in 2 weeks. These are low ball numbers, actual number is easily over 500. I would get to the event early, have all the stuff needed (beewax, wood, intestine, etc), I would have all the robots ready to march (most times) w/in 3 min. As long as the robots were not going super slow, we would get done in less than 9 min. I would hop, and hop, and hop... until 20 minutes after. This was a grind, not for the casual Wastelander. This event gave me 16 rare masks out of a total of 490+ events. The masks did not come steady either. First day I got the Glowing Pig, then nothing for 3 days. Then I got 6 in a day (glowing + old rares). No rhyme or reason I could make of it. Most of the newer masks I got, were while I was afk, from a hop, and/or did nothing. a Few were from doing the event almost solo (3-4am, is all afker's). Btw, if you do afk the event, please do it at the 3 music spots on the stage, helps alot if we get the music bot, he's always the slowest!

I’ve been doing this event for 4 years, only just started AFK’ing this year because of the HORRIFIC drop rates! While I have managed to get 3 of the Rare masks, they’ve all dropped on the same character. I average 50+ events every time this event is active, and I only have 3 Rare masks to show for my time. You’re right. The rise of the AFK’ers fall solely on Bethesda themselves!!

New subscriber and thank you for the video. I like the drop rate, changing it just makes people feed into the fast food mentality. It leaves something to get the next time or to look for vendors that will probably sell these things for a high price. It's a grind to get to the point you can get caps rather quickly compared to early levels. I've only gotten one glowing mask for almost 40 events. I prefer them making it a grind for harder to get masks or items. People want the game too easy and everything rather easy. It's something to come back to the game for. People will end up being able to pay atoms for ultra rare apparel items like the tattered field jacket which will suck. Like buying end game weapons starting out.

good luck finding new glowings in vendors. they're worth approx 1mil~1.5mil caps equivalent each. if you're wondering how people are bypassing the 40k cap limit, they're trading in currency like bobbleheads/magazines or high value godroll weapon/armor.

sure my man... try having 20 of each uncommon masks in your stash box, that noone wants to buy and then are dropped in the Donation Box or the red box at Nuka World. I am tired of gatting the same confetti plans, the sausage recipe, the same masks all over again... Same with Meat Week... I got 30 copies of the Flag for example and only 1 new plan... that is BS.

I understand the frustration, I don't care much for masks so I just want another for the trade value when I need a lot of caps in a rather short period.

I have done around 100 between the previous Fasnacht and this Fasnacht and have gotten zero glowing masks. I got 3 normal schorchedbeast mask and dozens of the common ones, 1 Raven in the previous run and 1 blue devil as well. The rest is just repeated stuff over and over again. Something changed as last year it was easier to grind your stuff. I managed to get the rare ones except 2 that has not dropped yet and I have been playing since 2019... I had to buy them from a vendor to show them in my camp.. so, I think that your odds are good man

Yea I have been playing for a little over 2 years now I still have not gotten one of the top tear masks. I also get the same one over and over and over again I mean how many witch masks can one have. I might be crying about it lol but I'm still going to do the event because of that 0.238% chance😢

I like that the drop rates are low to get a rare reward would really be considered rare if the drop rates were higher, I mean it's a chance to get a mask. I did the event 12 times and got Glowing Queen mask, it's all luck. Can't be salty if you don't get a glowing mask right away lol

I’ve done this event every hour so far and have not received any rare masks. I’ve afk and still nothing. Same stupid skull, giant, owl, blue devil mask etc ima lose my mind if I don’t get something good at the end of the event. Kinda terrible how low of a drop it is to get a stupid freaking mask. Getting angy. I’d drop 40k caps on a rare mask if anyone would be willing to but everyone just wants to trade them for other masks. I’m never gonna get one 😭😭😭
