Equipped with a 330hp CAT diesel engine, this pusher motorhome was more than ready for a fuel system upgrade. Like many other RVs, this behemoth requires the fuel pump to draw fuel all the way from the from of the chassis, which can entrain air-potentially damaging injection components or causing a breakdown.
By installing the FASS, we're able to continuously polish the fuel, removing over 99% of the air and water from ever reaching the engine. Having pure, air-free fuel is especially important for diesel motorhomes, as breakdowns caused by contaminated diesel can leave families stranded far from home.

I've been waiting for this video. Great job on the install. I had the fass system installed on my 2000 DP with the 8.3 Cummins and have been totally pleased with the performance and reliability. I've heard horror stories of failed factory lift pumps and after I noticed a slight leak at the lift pump is when I had the fass system installed at a local diesel shop.

I definitely want to get this kit for my 3126 motorhome which currently only has one 2 micron filter/water sep. Did you change anything else on the CAT fuel system? Like bypassing the HEUI driven lift pump? Or add a different pressure regulator? Or does this just bolt right in place of the filter? Deboss garage installed a FASS on his 3126 and did those things - wondering if they are necessary. Great video!

one question I do have... tired of researching info, Do I just leave the stock engine mounted lift pump and install the FASS ? it would make my life easier if it doesn't matter. if it should be removed please make a video and possibly do you see a kit to bypass it

We have a 2003 Newmar Diesel pusher motorhome with a 330hp Cat 3126 engine. It only has ONE fuel filter, and per Cat it must be a 2 micron with water separator bowl which can be drained. On this FASS system how do you know the water is being removed, can you see it. Can you drain it or do you just replace the filter and how do you know when its time to replace it. Our Cat 3126 does not have a "lift pump"(my understanding), it has a Heui fuel pump and the fuel return line comes off the back of the head at the fuel pressure regulator. The fuel polishing ability is intriguing. Again, my understanding of this engine and I'm not a diesel mechanic. Lol. P.S. Will the engine continue to run ok if that electric pump fails or does that require immediate replacement. It sounds like a great system but I couldn't find my engine(3126) on your web site that the link in the description took me to. How much is it and is it a DIY install. Thanks for posting this video.

Is the FASS fuel system recommended for Prevost motorhome conversions or do they come with something similar as standard operating equipment?

Hey Dan, thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, we aren't aware of any OEMs or up-fitters whose fuel systems remove air/vapor, over 99% of moisture, and debris down to 2 Micron. That said, we'd definitely recommend a FASS for your Prevost, if you're after maximum fuel filtration and efficiency.

Would it not be better to leave the orginal fuel filter in place and install the FASS system after it?

The PF-3001 Particulate Filter is before the pump on the FASS, so we wouldn't need another filter before it.
