What size soldering iron tip is that? I can't seem to find anything like it.

I take copper rod sized to the soldering iron. Then I hammer the end into a screwdriver shape.

This also works great with regulated irons if you set them to 380+C ! Then you can set your iron back to 280C and solder as normal without melting the insulation.

The residue can mess up the iron tip. That is why I went to this method.

But why it worked on certain wire but another wire doesnt solder as needed, only enamel burnt and blackend and stayed on wire , no matter how long i keep it in molten solder
