This was sent from heaven lmao I friggen struggle so hard with anything making it look illuminated. It’s very frustrating I painted my vectrix honour guard 2 nights ago and it turned out awful it was pretty disheartening. I guess it happens though I’m New to the hobby and have been Steadily progressing this was my first what I felt like a set back but it almost boils right down to the power effects. Bad ass though, thanks Emil you’re defiantly one of those dudes who are a totally blessing to the hobby. I appreciate what you do! Can’t wait to try this technique out!

Do you think Windsor and Newton's acrylic titanium white would be as effective as Schmincke for this? I have a tube of W&N already and I don't want to spend extra money if I don't need to.
@SquidmarMiniatures4 жыл бұрын
i think it probably is, i have not tried but if its their high quality acrylics i cant imagine otherwise
@Vortagh4 жыл бұрын
My personal experience with the watercolour paints of both Schmincke (first one I've used, as they - like me - are German and it's just what I found in stores) and W&N are that W&N is a notch or two better. I expect their acrylics to be on par with that, so you should be fine. :-)

I'm confused by the assumption that generic power swords produce light. I mean the lighting effect can be quite cool, but it's generally odd looking from any eyes that have experience with scale modeling. The concept of a power swords started with a regular sword that has an electrical device attached, that just vibrated the blade to improve it's ability to slice... I mean I get that painting light is easier than painting a quiet buzzing sound.

Well, I don't think your videos were boring to begin with. I did re-watch this video to see how I feel about the "new style".
