Was a great movie, literally Black girl magic but generational too. Grandmothers, mothers, daughters should see it together. Lorraine Toussaint was brilliant; protective mothers will relate to her greatly. Don’t leave the men out. There is a protective father as well who stands with them to the end.

I watched it finally after waiting since it was screened at SXSW in 2018. The long wait was over and I am soo so glad I got to watch it. So original and so fantastic. I recommend it for everyone. Gugu killed it like always.

I am just hoping that this gets on Netflix or something at some point. It was a crime that this movie got zero buzz. I know so many people who would have seen it if they bothered to release it more places and longer than whole week. Like what was the point of that kind of release? Yall might has well have sold the distribution rights to a streaming platform. This is one of my fav movies this year. Like I literally watch it, then watch it again 5 minutes after it ended, and spent the last couple of days just thinking about it. Plus I demand a sequel or a tv series, something. I would like to see this story continue.
