Ja good advice. I do very similar. We all have our own methods. To the guys that say D2 rusts, I say, don't own a carbon steel knife then 😂 D2 actually almost meets the minimum requirement of the stainless steel definition in terms of chromium. I'm a mechanical engineeer and years back I did both the basic and advanced courses at SASSDA - Southern Africa Stainless Development Association. People will do well to follow the advice here.
