These are for those lazy days when you still want to make a home cooked meal, but don’t feel like it. The prep for these are around 5-10mins. The chicken and potatoes, they just go into the oven until the timer goes off. Easy peasy!

We started out with 1 pound of ground beef and now use half. It gives you the taste of meat but you don’t miss the rest. We used to throw in an extra can of veggies if the kids brought friends home. I just saw a video where a chef said to use the cheaper 70/30 ground beef mix. He said if you use the 80/20 it’s too dry. He made great pizzas by using garlic bread for the crust and put pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and veggies on top. Bake the bread. Add toppings. Broil. You can easily make your own by buttering any kind of bread, sprinkle garlic powder over it, and bake it. You’ll know what I mean because I never measure either.

One of my summer favorites is BLT's (especially when garden tomatoes are in great supply). Add a simple veggie tray or salad, some chips and iced tea or lemonade. Easy, tasty, and great on a hot night when you dont want to heat up the kitchen, especially if you have already pre-cooked your bacon.

I started making my jambalaya in the rice cooker. Just dump everything in, start it, and it's hands off. Is it authentic? No. Does it taste good? Heck yes. Plus it doesn't heat up my kitchen like the stove does, so big bonus this time of year.

I’m a great fan of pj’s - often wearing them all day. Love the ones u have on here in first part of this vlog. Oranges? Tomatoes? Not sure of the print but the colors are good. Barbara PS--that “Ump” you do when u add a pinch of seasonings reminds me of what Emeril used to do: BAM ! was his shout out. When slicing green onions…cut them all together in half….bigger bunch now and then slice thinly. Time saver.

Brooke, I just had to share this recipe for chili I came up with today because it is cheap, makes alot of servings, takes less than 10 minutes to make and it is absolutely delicious! In a pot, put 3 cans of Great Value chili beans, 3/4 can of Great Value diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano, 1 can of Southgate beef chili from the Dollar Tree and one package of Hereford's seasoned beef crumbles from the Dollar Tree. Heat for 5 minutes or so and enjoy. Love your videos!

I've never seen the easy onion before. That would be absolutely awesome to use in a dish or a little on a sandwich i think. Best thing about the dish you are making is you can use up any fresh vegetables like a pot luck stew or what we call dry land gumbo. If we have fish, shrimp it's just regular gumbo. Looks absolutely delicious.
