😊😊😊 in South Georgia we call those bbq beefy beans. Our regular baked beans has no ground beef. Regular bb has ketchup mustard brown sugar onion bell peppers. Then put bacon on top.

Love the recipe for hot dog chili, but there is no need to drain or rinse your kidney beans . You can also use the kidney beans like I do with chili powder in it already. You had almost all most all the ingredients used in "authentic" street corn / cup corn. All that was missing was for it to have been coated in grated parmesan cheese. Yes, please! Please try this as a side … cut the corn of 4 fresh cobs , cut 1 jalapeño ( I remove seed for the littles)in small dice , 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter heat and add corn and jalapeno let it start to caramelize stir occasionally! Takes about 10-12 minutes!!!! Our favorite summer side dish

I always buy the chili with beans for my hot dogs. I was the only one who ate chili on my hot dogs (and cheese☺️) but then my seven year old was like let me try. Then it was the two of us until the youngest decided he wanted to try and now we all enjoy chili with beans on our dogs. For our street corn, in a Mexican household, I put the corn in the grill out in the oven like you did and then brush Mayo on it and put cotija cheese in it and sprinkle it with tajin. It’s yummy that way, you can use Parmesan if you can’t find the cotija I said busting one day in front of my kids and the day care kids that are school age and every single one of them corrected me. It’s bussin not busting lol.

I was raised in Chicago and our Chili was pretty much a combination of your two dishes. A few pieces of chopped up bacon, then saute onion and green pepper, ground beef, spices and let simmer, add two cans of red kidney beans (no need to drain) and heat for a bit longer. I need to make it now, it has been a while for some reason 😊. Then, for all that added yumminess, a side of your baked beans too. Happy Dance! Street corn is a perfect side. Brooke you are my soul sister!! I love my doctored up baked beans. I also don't like mine greasy and I have a bag in my freezer where I throw my leftover 1 or 2 pieces of bacon we didn't eat (it's just the 2 of us so far, not a whole house full) and I chunk those cooked frozen pieces up to throw in my beans. I've also tried it with a can of crushed pineapple instead of brown sugar bc I was out, and it was a huge hit!

I used to live in Mexico and we would make ours by boiling the corn, butter, table cream (not sour but many use sour cream), salt pepper, Cotija cheese (similar to parmasan dry and salty), sprinkle some cayenne pepper on top. Looks so great. My grandmother made beans like that except she would use a little molasses, and pineapple tide bits or crushed pineapple, she also made a chili and when it was right before payday when money & supplies were tight she would add another can of red beans a little more spice then would make homemade biscuits. There was dinne= if it was summer we would have sliced cucunbers,tomatoes, fresh green onions. Out of our garden. Brooke I must have incredible food on the holidays. I grab a bowel and put foil in it . Then I drain the grease in it . When it is cool and solid I fold the foil together and chuck it .
