Guys it's a humble request, stop buying unnecessary clothes, use them till they last and if they go out of trend keep em in your wardrobes they'll come in fashion again as the fashion industry is cyclic. It does not only saves the planet but also saves you a lot of money. At last, dont buy from fast fashion stores such as Zara as their quality is trash and you find studies that they dont have a proper mgf. Unit and make clothes in the cheapest way possible. An avg. Zara lasts till 10 washes. (I'm not just targeting zara, just that they're the most popular) Hope we can do something for the planet.

What are some brands that have good quality?
@paggi93
@paggi93 Ай бұрын
@@glokta1Uniqlo, Muji, to name a few. Also, it depends on the material. Go for organic cotton ones and not mixed. To make your clothes last longer, wear the clothes multiple times if it’s wearable and then wash in cold cycle as per the instructions given in the label. As after each wash, the life span of clothes decreases no matter the quality.

fashion industry is the most polluting, dying and bleaching //reuse and repair would help // when the buying stops, pollution would too // repeating cloths is a good thing, just that dry them in the sun after use. // mark sukerberg, doest repaeat cloths, he has multiple of same, they do it to save time // minimalism for cloths is a good thing, but minimalism as a lifestyle is bad for mental health// GMO is a beautiful topic! lot of fear mongering on it ( kindly include evil Vandana shiva, the lady against GMO), excite for the next episode !

As a girl , its so much pressure to keep up with these trends when you really dont want to .. I bought few pair of pants, invested to be precise, thinking I wont buy anymore.. What I noticed was they got so rugged after the 10th wash that its equivalent to nothing now .. Its as if you cannot opt out from this fast fashion thing , these days .

What 2 yr , I faced after 2nd month my pant was in a stage it will tear apart, I thought I was hallucinating but due to being hot blooded, on my way to home from college, I ran to catch my train I hear a tearing sound I knew , pant has given up on me , fuck this shitty quality, it cost me 1200₹ , I bought 300₹ denim, it lasted above 2 years now , I'm glad now , conclusions u can find cheap but good quality but not in malls , look nearby clothes sale , it may not be of fashion but quality is more important

I hope in the next episode @Zero1byZerodha also talk about the recycled plastic clothing which again sheds more micro plastic than original polyester clothing! We believe recycled plastic reuse is better for other things such as furnitures, bricks, etc but not clothes! And so we have started a making clothing direct from manufacturer which gives you maximum comfort and also 98% of it is biodegradable!

Guys, first of all really thanks for this amazing video. I have been that kind of person since childhood who can't naturally fit into this money dumping marketing but frankly while earlier I was proud of myself thinking that I am saving, now narrative around us is changed and I am many times feeling more like old school person. I am sure there will be many more like me and who will eventually give up. Any suggestions??? Also, i somehow don't agree that I should just buy some costly clothes just because other fast fashion world is making bad quality clothes. Shouldn't there be better solution where price doesn't increase but explicit quality compromise can still be stopped. I just wish... I know we are in capitalist world 😊

There is fabric available out of recycled cotton and polyester but since it's quality is little less than a fresh fabric and istagram is marketing mostly of premium 240gsm fabric which is not at all suitable for Indian climate so most of manufacturer are little skeptical in using recycled fabric

How do you explain: 1. Thanks to host, much needed topic. 2. Fast fashion brands are making huge profits and investors are suggested to buy their stocks. Does buying less cloths make sense when you invest money there and they try to maximize your returns? This is cyclic and hypocracy. 3. Putting everything on consumers makes sense? Environmental impacts are so huge from fast fashion, why not more discussion on policies by government? That's tricky, right?

I bought a few pair of black tshirts & track pants from b*****f around 2017-18. They were so strong cotton fabric that they still don't have a wear or tear(except some of them are color fading recently). Recently ordered a couple of shirts from them & I feel robbed. Clothes were too light fabric cotton(with more polyster mixture), colors faded within couple of washes. Wouldn't be stocked if I see tears in another couple washes. I lost the trust on that online brand. I was looking in reddit & realised most brands are following this trend. Some of the reputed brands I trust also making lighter fabric apparel, it's already looking like a mop😅. Their brand reputation comes with a hefty price tag.

I remember WALL-E movie and that is our future but sadly we don't have other planet to survive. as soon as we stop doing nonsense thing will make a better place for our kids and there kids too. - JUST for your knowledge our parents grand parent's left there Jaidaat and houses properties for us as a privilege gift but what about us ? what we going to left to our future grand sons? EMI, Default Loan, Polluted Air and dustbin all around. Real TRUTH I would say. THERE IS NO RECYCLING PROCESS WHICH CLEAN YOUR WASTE IT TAKES SOMETHING TO CLEAN IT UP AND THAT SOMETHING MEANS A WATER. to clean or to process alot of water we waste all around and during the recycling we are introducing the water to microplastics which is boomerang will comeback and give you such a horrible diseases that you cant get rid of. ex. CANCER.

I think you are wasting time from numerous viewers we people live in india before making a video why dont see a use of clothes in india how they as per textile industry the average usage of a garment is more then 3 years in a household you use it endlessly and then either you are moping the floor with you our u donate to your house help who is again using it more then 2-3 years fast fashion is really important this but the majority of landfill is Europe and use india might be contributing to it but very less a lot of second hand products are imported please research things before making anything

Great video. However, Patagonia is NOT a saint. A bunch of shady stuff: Yvon Chouinard, the founder, transferred 2% of the total stock, basically all the voting stock to the Purpose Trust, which is still completely controlled by his family and the other 98% to a charity. Through this maneuver they paid only 17 million dollars in gift tax, saving $1.2B on the 98% they donated. Plus, there’s some weird stuff about the Holdfast collective too. Source: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnTYZ3iYerGNbKsfeature=shared There’s a stereotype that Patagonia is a holy symbol of success for the finance and tech bros in Wall Street and Silicon Valley who rave about supporting such a responsible and environmentally friendly company.
