That terminal block shouldn't be in a wet place. Ideally you'd seal adhesive lined heat shrink over the crimped connection and keep cutting that wire until there's no black copper corrosion left. The bilge is too important to skimp on dodgy wiring jobs. Good luck!

That terminal block was not well thought out. I hope that you didn't do that! I'm sure that you saw the moon, last night. It was huge. It should be again tonight. There was a bit of shadow on the moon, last night. Tonight should be full moon. It must be on it's closest periapsis to the Earth.

No the terminal was waiting to go wrong. It must be an original or pretty close to it. You last night was the fullest it's going to get as the actual full moon was yesterday morning around about 7:52 from memory. It was beautiful that's for sure will almost like daylight in a way. I didn't even bother to turn on the deck light to work on the foredeck at 03:00.
