How are you recording the bass for these vids, I have Ableton, and an interface, what do I gotta do next, if you get time.

I use logic pro but any daw is fine. I tracked through a Two Notes Revolt preamp, warms up my signal. I tend do to a bit of eq on the recorded signal in Logic, add some bass, subtract treble and finally i put some mastering plugin on the finished track. But it varies, sometimes my preamp is on the road, then i just go direct and eq that signal.

@@MarloweDK do you get latency when you play bass into your daw? It looks like there is none at all. I think that's the part I gotta figure out, how to actually record the sound into a video. I can record tracks, but as I mostly use my computer set up for electronic music vs my stringed instruments, I've yet to try and record something live into a video, maybe I need video software too

@@jdssurf I dont use softwaremonitoring, i listen to the direct signal from the soundcard, in other words, my sound is set before i hit record, i can later adjust some stuff

using your middle finger to play the low Bb could confuse beginner players Bb dangerous key for bass players ,, many things can happen over the 2 basic positions on 1st & 6th frets :D

Using your middle finger is actually very simple and comes naturally. At least that's what I've always thought
